Sometimes timing is the real teacher.
This wasn’t a hiatus. It was life asking more of me.
Being a caretaker.
A nonprofit founder.
An educator.
A philanthropist.
A son.
A grandson.
A Black man being pulled in every direction while trying not to forget himself.
I remember starting this project after working on a gown for Rapsody when she won the Grammy Awards. I came home energized—hundreds of collections running through my mind and veins.
But 2025 had other plans.
It laughed and said: hold on.
You have to grow.
You have to build.
You have to learn how to love yourself again while becoming a new business owner and carrying responsibilities that stretch your mind, body, spirit, and finances.
And for a moment… it paused me.
But the path keeps revealing something important:
talent and hard work will always find each other again.
Even under overwhelming circumstances, there’s always that quiet voice in your gut reminding you that you’re meant to thrive.
So I’ve been deep in my bag, asking what this collection should look like… and more importantly, what it should feel like.
This is my reintroduction.
