Repost from last year ***
If you’ve been hear for a while you know that tonight is my grandfather Shmuel Ben Yisroel’s yartzeit.
The 4th night of chanukah is a meaningful night to me.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ever since I was a little girl I heard amazing stories about my grandfather, here are just a few: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
He found a sugar cube in Siberia and brought it to his mother to split it with the whole bunker (he was 5 years old at the time)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
He was a peacemaker to any feud, people came to him for every problem that they had.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
He was a Rabbi that got smicha at the age of 19. The Lubavicher Rebbe used to call him Reb Shmeel.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
He spoke 11 languages fluently so he can connect with anyone. He was beloved by all who met him.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Unfortunately in 5737(1976) at the young age of 37 he was taken from his very young family in the famous shochtim car accident on his way to Shecht along with 4 other shochtim.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Tonight, on the 4th night of Chanukah, the 28Th of Kislev is his 46nd Yartziet.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
One of Lubavitchs’ mottos that he lived by was to do one extra mitzvah and have a Hachlata Tova to bring the geula closer. So to honor his memory one lucky winner will win a current stock Layette Set (includes a footie, hat and blanket)! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
