Preparations for the inaugural Pan-African Fabric & Fashion Showcase continue as I engage with participating African embassies, designers, and cultural representatives in the lead-up to this landmark event.
This week, it was a pleasure to meet with H.E. Ambassador Abraham Mengistu of Ethiopia and H.E. Ambassador Lateef Kayode Are of Nigeria to discuss culture, art, the Pan-African Fabric, and the upcoming showcase.

I look forward to sharing more as we continue this exciting journey towards celebrating African culture, unity, creativity, and collaboration.

The official launch of The Pan-African Fabric in April 2025 was a deeply special day for me.

With 54 guests gathered in community—sharing achu, culture, conversation, and celebration—the occasion became even more memorable when I received two unexpected awards, including recognition as UCYE African Cultural Ambassador to the United States.

It was also my honour to personally present The Pan-African Fabric to representatives of the nine African countries whose cultural symbols form part of this inaugural edition.
