Getting caught up…

I’m going to take a shot at the Thankful November alphabet thing, but I’m a couple days late. So to catch up, I’m thankful for:

A—Awareness of my blessings
B—Braxtyn, my sweet grandbaby boy
C—Community Ed programs who are giving me a shot to teach my Groove classes
D—Donuts. I really love an occasional dinner for breakfast!!!
E—Election Day. 🇺🇸. Thankful for our democracy that gives us the chance to choose our future.
F—Family. I have wonderful parents who love me unconditionally, and I have aunts and uncles and cousins who have been so awesome in my life.
G—Groove, of course!!!! The fun new people I’m meeting, the confidence and creativity that Groove inspires, and the Movement and Groovement in my body every week!

We had a great time grooving on Wednesday night for Halloween!!!! As promised, we had a little bit of light and love with our Halloween fun to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 💕👻

Thank you to Robin, Chelsie, and my new Groover, Wendy, for being GROOVY with me to celebrate my favorite holiday!!!

I need an accountability partner! 👯‍♀️ I’m working up to a full 3 day fast, but this Plexus 3 Day Reset is a step towards that major milestone. Would anyone like to join me in trying this??? 🤔 If you order this kit this week, we can be fasting buddies next week!!!

To all my women friends, PLEASE read or listen to “Fast Like A Girl” by Dr. Mindy Pelz. My chiropractor, Dr. Pete, and his wife, Lisa, recommended it to me, and I’m absolutely LOVING it!!! It talks about different versions of fasts, and how each will impact your body. It talks about the impacts of stress and cortisol on our systems (spoiler alert—it’s HORRIBLE!). And most interestingly, it explains how to tie fasting to our feminine cycles (at all ages!) to do some crazy amazing things in these skin suits we walk around in!!!

I’m slowly working my way up to a 72 hour fast (😳), but I’ve done a couple 24 hour ones and several 17/7’s, and I’m ❤️loving❤️ the results. Jesus fasted for 40 days so let’s hope I have the strength to go 3 days!🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Admittedly, fasting isn’t for everyone, and definitely speak with your doctor about this topic before jumping in. But I wish I’d known about fasting in my 30s.

I just wrapped up my first official Community Education Groove session, and I’m SO appreciative of my Groove posse!!! Linda Winkler (not on fb) and Chelsie Kemen were troopers! They stuck it out the full 8 classes and were absolutely Groove rockstars!!! Excited for the next session to start on October 16.

It’s been a crazy day! I finally had my first Groove class for Community Ed tonight. 9 Groovers showed up, and we danced and laughed and poured sweat. Thank you to Robin Lindemann Gast, a fellow Groover, for leading by example, and dancing your heart out!

Of course, I forgot to take a pic of my peeps so this is the best I have tonight. A sweaty, flat-haired, mascara-running-all-over-my-face selfie!!!
