Welcome to beautiful - wait, how did I get to Connecticut?

Seriously, the Hive is in beautiful downtown Norton, where is hosting the Stars Hope Festival in the parking lot behind the post office. So we may not be right on Park Avenue, but we’re just a small hop back, and there’s a lot of fellow vendors set up. Come on down and take a look!

Day two in the Artisans Alley at the in beautiful Big Stone Gap! It looks like another glorious day, and I hope to see a huge turnout for the music, the food, and of course, for the vendors! I’ll run some pictures of my fellow artisans here in a bit, but for now, enjoy some handcrafted Chainmail and Scalemail jewelry, accessories, and costuming!

The two most recent pieces off the pliers on this fine Friday. A pair of earrings in Kinged Vipera Berus - not an easy weave to mirror - in blue and green, with feather tokens at the ends. And a pink handflower, in a dense Euro 4-1.

The Hive is here in b-e-a-utiful Big Stone Gap, VA on a perfect fall day for the Blue Highway Festival! The Mountain Artisans are set up, the food vendors are here, and the bands are making their way to the stage, so come out and enjoy the weekend!

Hiveforge Chainmail is coming to Artisan Alley at Blue Highway Fest for the first time this year! Derek Weatherbee, owner of Hiveforge Chainmail, hails from Norton, VA, and is a recent member of the Mountain Artisans of Big Stone Gap!

Starting in 2015, Derek began making chainmail pieces of jewelry and other accessories. Each piece is intricate and beautiful. Derek offers earrings, bracelets, necklaces, keychains, and much more! He also takes custom orders. Don’t see exactly what you’re looking for? Talk to him and place an order!
