Halfway through Season 1. And it's been something. 💛
We've talked about wildfires and nervous systems. Dental chairs and self-advocacy. Grief that doesn't look like grief. Separation anxiety. Transitional objects. Potty training — and everything nobody told us it actually involves. And the magic that was inside us all along.
But none of it would exist without the people who showed up to make it real.
Madlaina. Dylan. Annatina.
Three kiddos who sat in front of a microphone and read stories about hard feelings — out loud, honestly, without a script. They are the heart of this podcast. Every single episode.
And the guests who trusted us with their expertise and their own stories — Paige Howard, who opened the season and set the tone. Kira Bender, who helped us understand what a child's nervous system actually goes through. Lacey Holmquist, who turned a scary dental visit into a lesson in self-advocacy. Jessica Correnti, who reminded us that grief is not just death — and that kids can't do it wrong. Dr. Anna Huang, who wrote a story about sadness that made a lot of grown-ups cry too. Sophie Pierce and Rebecca Callahan, who showed us the magic was inside all along. And Dr. Quiara, who gently flipped everything we thought we knew about potty training.
This is what a village looks like. 🌱
