The Hierophant 🕯️
Upright · Shadow
🔮 Terror Tarot

On this card, Cthulhu’s followers make their way toward him, even in death. That’s how tightly a belief can hold you.

🧐 The Hierophant stands for tradition, beliefs, and institutions you grew up with.

It appears here in Shadow, meaning you should take a closer look at the rules you follow without even noticing. Some came from family, school, or faith, and they’ve haunted your choices ever since.

Pick one rule you live by. Maybe it’s how you handle certain emotions, how you show up for people, or what you think you’re allowed to want. Ask who taught it to you. Then decide whether it still fits the person you are now. Does it fit the person you want to become? Keep the rules that do. Bury the rest.

Do tell me what you dig up 🪏 Nothing delights me quite like a freshly unearthed grave 🪦

✨☕️ Brewing up a bit of nostalgia ☕️✨
This photo of olweber has been a favorite of mine since the early days of The Ghoulish Garb. She captured the perfect balance of moody and magical, just like our “Witch’s Brew” design — one of the very first we ever conjured up. Back then, I was especially fond of clever little puns, and this one still holds a special place in my heart.
