Are you a homeowner or business on the water that would like a vertical oyster garden for your dock! You can pick some up at Backwater Provisions in Ormond Beach at 177 E Granada Ave.

Flagler County is partnering with the nonprofit Oysters for My Neighborhood to install vertical oyster gardens at public docks in an effort to improve water quality and support marine life.

It has taken a few hours to digest all of this. Some random thought.

Commercial Fishing lands hundreds of tons of red snapper how is that priority over recreational fishing if you are staying environmental concerns?

Commercial captain and local captain have the same basic job. How is it OK to support one category over the other?

If the reason is to support the commercial fishing then why not at least allow charter captains and head boats to still fish?

The folks on the water support and recommend the restaurants that are supplied by the same commercial fishing. You have pushed against fronds and family.

Here is to hoping smarter decisions are made going forward.
