This shot is from the set of Steel Magnolias. Growing up this was my mom’s favorite movie and quickly became mine. I know every word to every line from the movie, and even used the film’s intro music as the bridal party entrance song in my wedding.

As a kid (and still to this day) I thought Truvvy was the coolest character and wanted to be just like her - witty, beautiful, and driven. Of course that was so much of Dolly herself being put into the character.

What a devastating loss to the world, but an even greater blessing to have had her as a role model for so many women and girls in the world. 🦋🦋🦋
