Disrespect Can Close Doors that Apologies Cannot Re-Open……
Time heals all wounds. At least that's what they say, right? Although that statement is as old and common as the day is long, I beg to differ. Sometimes things hit us so hard and hurt so badly that even time can't heal it, especially if the hurt party doesn't allow it. Note the forgiveness is not coming for the them but for us, there is still the need to be ultra careful how you treat people. Yes time can heal. However heal doesn't always equate to a return to the time before the hurt. Somethings are very hard to apologize for, and even when you do apologize it does not always equal redemption much less forgiveness, so tread lightly my friends.
Disrespect is a very personal occurrence one that not everyone takes lightly enough to be erased by a simple, "I'm sorry". Oftentimes knee-jerk reactions can shut doors forever. Even a rushed response to wrong can lead to a permanent shut down if not handled properly.
The goal should be to treat others not as they treat you, but as you would want to be treated by others. That said, know that if you disrespect someone, an apology may not save the outcome in the end. No one ever wants to block their own opportunity with poor behavior, right?
The wrongs can make it so things are never right. Therefore its always best to remember that disrespect can close doors that apologies cannot reopen. So never move poorly but productively in purpose instead.
