Custom Costumes We make authentic Dutch costumes as well as Dutch costume sewing patterns, Dutch Clutches, and have written a full-color book featuring Dutch costumes.

We are located in Pella, Iowa. As young girls, we grew up discovering a passion for sewing while developing our seamstress skills. After becoming acquainted as young mothers, we realized common interests: a love of sewing and our Dutch heritage. We teamed up and began researching and fashioning reproduction Dutch costumes in our hometown of Pella, Iowa. In 1985, the Pella Historical Society grante

d us the additional responsibility to annually research and sew authentic Dutch costumes for Pella’s Tulip Time Queen and her attendants. Over the years, our research has yielded a wealth of information about Dutch costumes and culture that we wish to preserve and share with our book Dutch Costumes: A Look into the Past.
