This is SO good!!
Faith & Fabric Friday — “Trusting the Pattern Maker”
Bible Verse:
Isaiah 55:8-9 — “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Reflection:
Have you ever looked at a quilt pattern and wondered how all those odd-shaped pieces could possibly come together into the beautiful design shown on the cover? Sometimes, when we’re cutting fabric or laying out blocks, the process doesn’t seem to make much sense. We have to trust the pattern and keep following the next step.
Life with God can feel that way.
There are seasons when we don’t understand what He is doing. Doors close, plans change, and circumstances unfold in ways we never expected. From our perspective, the pieces may seem scattered across the design wall. But God sees the finished quilt.
The Pattern Maker knows exactly where each piece belongs.
Our job is not to see the entire design. Our job is to faithfully take the next step, trust His guidance, and remember that He is creating something beautiful even when we cannot yet see the full picture.
This week, if you find yourself questioning the process, remember that the One who designed the pattern has never lost sight of the finished masterpiece.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being the Master Designer of our lives. When I cannot see how the pieces fit together, help me trust Your wisdom and Your timing. Give me faith to follow You one step at a time, knowing that You are working all things according to Your perfect plan. Amen.
