From my little nest to yours… Hello, May!  🪺✨

I’m stepping into a month of soft colors, fresh inspiration and learning new techniques. ✂️🪡🧵

I’ve pulled out my favorite vintage Tilda fabrics to stitch another page for the new Mini Rosie pattern by .taylor.crafts 🩷letting each stitch tell its own little story. No rushing over here—just enjoying the rhythm and the process, because honestly, that’s where the magic is 💫

May is your permission slip to learn something new… or finish something you’ve been holding onto.🤗

So tell me—are you starting fresh, or picking up a WIP? 🧵Happy Creating and Happy May 🌷-Laurie

I've been working on a cross-stitch for the Betsy Rose Pouch, but then .taylor.crafts dropped her new pattern, I’ve been excited about and I just had to get it! 🩷
Now, I'm repurposing the cross stitching for the Mini Rosie cover piece AND the patchwork fits perfectly for the new project too!
Has this pivot happened to anyone else? 😳 Check out Rosie’s new pattern, Happy Sewing 🪺🪡🌸

Hello from my little nest to yours 🪺The Betsy Rose Pouch by .be is the perfect project for a chilly rainy day here in Philadelphia. I’m using a fabric scrap to protect the stitches on the hoop, about a third of the way done with the cross stitching. 😆I’m so excited to get to the patchwork!! Wishing you a wonderful Sunday and get a chance to do something you truly love🪺🪡🌷

I’m already smitten! The pattern is so lovely and beautifully written, clear, thoughtful, and truly a pleasure to follow.

Hello from my Nest 🪺 in Rittenhouse Philadelphia 🫶🏻It’s spring here and I don’t know if it’s the beautiful weather or all the blooming flowers but my creativity seems to be blooming too! Maybe it’s the fact that I’ve gone part time and enjoying life a little bit more with better health too!
Seeing all of the beautiful makes, all kinds of projects, quilts, bags, sewing accessories is so inspiring!!🫶🏻🌸🪡
I’m working my way through some things I’ve been wanting to make for some time! Say hello to my very first EPP flower! She’s not perfect, but I’m very proud of her and she’s made with one of my very favorite fabrics from My Favorite Things by Lutz 🌸
I learned how to make Suffolk Puffs, I’ll be embellishing them for my first fabric pinch pot. The pattern from .be Bec’s made it so easy and fun. I’m sure I’m going to start on a new one as soon as I’m complete with this one!
I’ve also taken a step back from the Maker Program, everyone at Elna has been so kind and supportive. I hope to rejoin the program later this summer after learning some of these new skills like EPP,embroidery and slow stitching , I look forward to incorporating them into my sewing projects.
I hope everyone is enjoying spring or whatever your season is! 🌱I hope April brings you abundance of creativity, love, and joy. Laurie 🌸

Hello from my cozy nest in Rittenhouse, Philadelphia 🪺
It’s been a chilly weekend and what a great time to begin a new project. It’s something I’ve never tried before and it’s completely out of my wheelhouse. I’ll post as things start to, hopefully, come together. ✂️✏️

I hope everyone has some time to do something special that makes you happy.🫶🏻🌸🪡

My sweet friend Chris brought me these beautiful flowers, she and her husband Pete bought at the Philadelphia flower show. 🌷She arranged them in her hotel room in a vase she brought with her! Yes, she’s a floral designer! In Egg Harbor Twp NJ. I love and treasure our friendship🫶🏻 Who else is enjoying this glorious spring day. 🌸My windows are open, and Vivaldi Spring is in the air 🩵With love from my nest to yours 🪡🪺🌸 ❤️

Hello March 🌸

There is something about the beginning of a new month that invites us to pause… to breathe… and to begin again with gentle intention.

Now feels like the perfect time to return to the needle and thread.🪡

This month also brings a personal shift for me-stepping into retirement and easing into part-time work-it feels like the right season to welcome a slower, more mindful, creative rhythm.

Over the coming months, you’ll see more slow stitching, vintage textures, and thoughtful little works.

If you’ve been longing to slow down and savor the small, beautiful moments too… you are in the right place.

With love 💌
Laurie

Thank you .taylor.crafts for sharing your new FPP Propeller Block tutorial. ❤️ this super fun and easy pattern came out a few days ago when I was in the hospital for sepsis and I thought when I get home, it’s on the top of my list! YAY for the little win!! ⭐️ I needed it so bad 😊I have more of the blocks planned in this pretty Elise fabric. ❤️⭐️🩵⭐️🩷
If you too need a quick win and something that is super fun, I highly suggest Rosie‘s free pattern and tutorial 💛 🌹
