50% kid attendance because our Brookie and Brynne were asleep, but we celebrated 10 years today. ❤️ So thankful for who suggested that she stay late so we could go out. A decade went by in a blink and I am forever grateful for our #1 girl dad 🤍

The definition of strength. March 21st is National Single Parents Day, and honors the mothers and fathers holding down the fort with all the hard work, devotion, and sacrifices involved in single parenting. Being a parent is no easy task, and it takes an absolute superhero to do it alone.

I’ve been quiet on here, and I just wanted to pop on to say that other than filling orders, I’ve taken a Swaddlou break again. But, the really exciting news is that this break started when I was offered a marketing job, for a brand that has been around for over fifty years. My focus at this company will be on organic growth, and I will be managing all of their social channels. They have more resources than I could ever dream of, and my brain has been exploding with ideas, things that I am learning, new people I am meeting and just alllllll the things. And of course, I am also thinking about how I can apply all that I am learning at this new large company, to my own small business. I am frequently pinching myself over this opportunity. For any brands or creators that I am working with at Swaddlou, give me a week or two, and then you’ll be hearing from me again. I just need some time to process everything.

Almost two years ago, I took the risk to start my own small business. I didn’t know what I was doing, other than having a product I believed in, and feeling extremely pulled in this direction in life. I kept thinking to myself, “I feel good at this…I should keep going!” Where I am now is FAR from where I expected to be, but at the same time, it’s well beyond my dreams of June 2020. So, to anyone following our journey here, keep dreaming big things and diving into your own gifts….because you never know where they will take you. 💫

I talk a lot on here about my entire Swaddlou start-up journey, and so I wanted to share what’s happened over the past two weeks for anyone invested in the story.

is a new mom and super funny and talented host for E! News…including the Snapchat series “The Rundown” for E!  She found Swaddlou after an intense Google search, because nothing was working for her sweet little daughter, Saylor…and fell in love with the product.

She made a reel with Say in the Swaddlou, and that’s how I found out she was using my product.  On Thursday, Erin was so kind and talked about the Swaddlou in her Instagram story, and as you can imagine, I had a record number of sales this weekend.  Erin made it clear that she was talking from her heart, and it was so authentic.  Which leads me to my next thought…

To my core, I believe the future of marketing to millennials, gen-z , and beyond is organic growth through storytelling.  If you have a top-notch product that truly solves a problem, it will rise to the top, and customers will want to talk about it.  The marketing side is that you need to find a way to effectively tell the stories of the people who love it (and there is a skill to this)….but I really, really believe (& hope) that paid/targeted ads are going to be used less and less moving forward.

So, even though I don’t have the funding for paid ads, I think that’s okay (maybe even for the best)…..and we will grow regardless because of the moms who are using it and love it.  So, if you are a Swaddlou fan…please feel free to share an old post with a friend, chat about it with a co-worker, etc….YOU are the reason we will grow, and I am so appreciative. 🥰
