Awsh*t. It’s ! I never owned a pair of when they released, but I sure as hell saw them on TV non-stop. victory over the almighty in the 1985 championship was a yayo-fueled lights out masterpiece the likes of which we will never see again. At that time, what one wore on the block was heavily influenced by what players wore on court for performance. Style on court came down to tee or no tee under the jersey. Or, at most, a headband. Now, after a cycle during which luxury brands bit sport style in every way possible, we’ve arrived at a point where athletes look to express their style on court by incorporating off-court fashion into their in-game getups. At least that’s what I think. If nothing else, at the most basic level, sport and style are no longer two different buckets. When Nike put Georgetown in Terminators, that was a statement. Georgetown was a monster. An intimidator. Hard. Exactly what kids wanted to be. The team ultimately had six players selected in the draft. All in the first two rounds, save for one , a footnote at the end of the day, who was drafted in the 7th round. But if you’re a sneaker person, you know that Ralph had some balky ankles that required an extra special pair of thigh high (psyche, but close) Terminators all his own. I once bid a ridiculous amount on a pair and still lost. I’ve always wondered how the players reacted when their equipment manager busted these out in the locker room. I know I would have lost my mind. I digress. Over the years, Nike has reissued the Terminator a few times. Some were clumpy and misshapen. Some were just too much. A vehicle for colabs with zero design restraint. Others, like the the “vintage” version, were nearly perfect. If anyone has that brilliant Michigan pair with the red laces, I need an 11. As far as the OGs go, you see leather pairs here and there. You see lows less often. And when you do, they’re usually leather. The shoes on the today are not. They are canvas. And one is red. Nike Terminator Canvas Low. Two times for your muhf**kin mind. @ Philly

USA . A deadstock example of a lesser seen colorway of a lesser seen come up. You note the blemishes aren’t scuffs. The color on the uppers is so rich and saturated that it has a slightly oily feel that sticks to the cardboard in the box. Color is so deep I thought these were metallic before I owned a pair. I bet this is what you saw at Herman’s. @ RTO+P
