Crochet For A Cause This is KNOT your average club. We are HOOKED on helping others. Our club makes blankets, scarves, and other items for the homeless in Philadelphia.

Our weekly gatherings are filled with laughter and smiles as we create, learn, and invent new styles and designs for our crocheted projects. Our club is growing and always welcoming to new members. Anyone with a passion for helping others in a hands-on manner or who has the desire to channel their inner creative imaginative side is encouraged to give it a try! Crochet is a wonderful trade to learn

and a skill that can be passed on to generations to come. It's very easy and fun to learn :)

We make every stitch out of love and hope to provide warmth and comfort to the community of Philadelphia. We want to make the world a better, warmer place, one stitch at a time. Claire is a Junior Finance major at Saint Joseph's University with a passion for helping others. She has been crocheting since she was in 5th grade. She is the perfect combination of creative and kind. In her spare time, Claire enjoys spending time with her family in the mountains and playing tennis. Senior Food Marketing Major at Saint Joseph's University, Nicole started with the club a few weeks ago and is now an enthusiastic active participant. Nicole enjoys spending quality time with her family and hanging out with her friends. While pursuing her masters degree in experimental psychology from Saint Joseph's University, Emily also works part time and spends her evenings working on crochet projects. Fun Fact about Emily is that she is a twin who is left handed! She loves trying out cooking recipes from pinterest- her bacon chicken is fab! She is constantly on the go from working, studying, exercising, socializing, and trying new things like crochet! Audrey is a senior IHS major at Saint Joseph's University that is described by her peers as a selfless friend to all with a positive attitude and fun loving personality. Audrey entered this club with no prior experience with crochet but quickly mastered the trade and has fully embraced the club. She is currently working on a scarf to donate. Our first member and self proclaimed prodigy, picked up her first crochet hook a few weeks ago and hasn't put it down since! She has completed 2 blankets and an infinity scarf so far. This Penn State alum and marketing coordinator is driven to succeed in all that she does. She has channeled her inner creative side and embraced this club in full capacity. In her free time, Caitlin cares for her bunny named Buttons and plans to create a line of crochet bunny clothes someday. This high energy, sarcastic professional brings joy to all club meetings.

Meet The Founder!

Devon Murray, recent graduate from Saint Joseph's University and marketing enthusiast, started "Crochet For A Cause" to utilize her creative passions and skills towards a good cause. Devon began crocheting in grade school in the creative hands club and has stuck with it ever since. Over the years, she has participated in numerous service activities in which she developed an ambition to help those in need especially those in her community. Her love of crocheting and passion for helping others is how "Crochet For A Cause" was conceived. She teaches members and friends the skill of crochet while offering an abundance of laughter and joy during crochet club meetings.
