There is a sound this craft makes that no machine ever will.
Thunk. Press. Lift.
Each carved wooden block carries the fingerprints of the craftsman who shaped it ā sometimes for weeks ā before it ever meets fabric. When it finally does, something quietly extraordinary happens. Colour meets cloth. Pattern blooms, repeat by repeat, the tiniest variations in each impression whispering: a human made this.
Our block printing begins with hand-carved teak blocks, some passed down through generations of artisans in Rajasthan. Natural dyes are mixed with care, each shade pulled from roots, bark, and earth. The fabric is stretched, pinned, and then the rhythm begins.
Thunk. Press. Lift. Move. Thunk. Press. Lift.
There is a meditative quality to watching it ā and even more to wearing something born from that rhythm.
