The other day I was standing in my shop watching the SEPTA 6 bus ride past, and I just smiled.
I said to myself, “Dang… I really used to work for SEPTA.”
Not only did I drive that very route, but as a young adult, I used to ride that same exact bus to and from work. Up and down Ogontz Avenue, day after day, just trying to make it.
Now here I am, standing in my own business, in my own storefront, watching that same bus pass by my shop over and over again.
SubhanAllah, life really comes full circle.
SEPTA was a chapter in my journey, and I’m grateful for everything it taught me. But if I had stayed comfortable, I probably wouldn’t be where I am today. Every long shift, every setback, every sacrifice helped shape the woman I became.
Today, instead of driving the route, I’m building a legacy.
To anybody chasing a dream: don’t despise small beginnings. Keep working. Keep believing. Keep making du’a. What Allah has written for you will never miss you.
Alhamdulillah for growth. Alhamdulillah for the journey. And Alhamdulillah for the full-circle moments that remind you just how far you’ve come. 🤍
