Late night ideas. I was thinking of making a fancy, new, 3d printed shuttle to hold my wire spools. But, I think, will work out just fine.

And this is what I do for my warp-painted shawls and scarves. Once I have wrapped the warp into a plastic burrito using the tablecloth, I have to wait overnight before I can see how the colors reacted. With the whorls I used for the painting, I have no idea of how it will look on the loom or woven. Next steps will be opening my warp burritos, washing and rinsing the yarns and waiting for them to dry. The colors will be much lighter.

A slight change in direction. When I get to the end of a warp, I try different materials for weft. I used copper wire and shaped the resulting fabric. Mounted in a shadow box, I am hoping I can enter it in fiber art shows. “Weaver’s Artifact: Copper”.

I finished weaving these beauties Saturday at and I wet finished them last night. The shine is almost metallic. I can’t wait for someone to try them on. Will that be you?
