I was at pride but my tent broke ☹️ and then my bow rack fell and broke 😧 so for safety reasons, I left early. Sorry everyone! I didn’t want my tent to collapse on anyone.

Sometimes I wonder to myself, are my products too expensive?

Then I start breaking down my costs. The fabric I buy (from other small businesses 💗) usually starts at $15 a yard and the highest is $22 a yard. Plus shipping, which is usually $10-$12. I buy rights to use said fabric, which is anywhere between $1-$15 plus tax (purchased from other small businesses 💗) Thankfully, that’s a one time purchase for each pattern. Not to mention, I wash all my fabric with gentle detergent to get any debris or chemical of my fabric. I make stuff for babies, I don’t want chemicals touching their faces or heads 💗

Then I need to account how long things take to make. Dog bandanas take 15-30, bows 15 min, kindle pouches and anything with a zipper is at least an hour, mama sweatshirts are at least an hour, if not two, most tshirts are at least 30 min and the most time I’ve spent on a tshirt was 86 min. Don’t even get me started on dolls… between the cutting, sewing, stuffing and hand embroidering…. 💀🤣

Then I think about my equipment. I have 3 machines that I use daily and they weren’t cheap to buy or to maintain. All my tools that make things faster. Have you ever seen how much it costs for an acrylic ruler??? It’s insane. My iron. $30 for an iron feels crazy but it is one of my most important tools!

So next time you look at something someone has made and you’re questioning why it costs so much, think to yourself… how much did that take to make? Because I promise you we all are underpaying ourselves because we want customers, connections to people, we want to get our products out there and most importantly, we want you all to love our stuff as much as we do.

Hi everyone!
I’m taking a much needed break the whole month of July! There will not be any first of the month patterns to choose from, or Mystery Monday’s.
I have quite a few big projects that I’m trying to complete, and I just need a break from social media & enjoy my upcoming vacation.
My messenger will still be open, and I will still take requests, you just probably won’t see me posting for a month. 💗
