Sitting here rocking Baker to sleep and I can’t help but admire how far my craft has come and where it has taken me (ok and these chubby little feet)…

This simple black baby blanket was the first thing I crocheted after not picking up my hook for a good 8 years. It’s full of mistakes, uneven rows and the yarn isn’t the best quality. It started out as some scrap yarn that I picked up just to see if I “still had it”.

Flash forward 6 years later and it is one of Bakers favorite comfort blankies at bedtime and he just about refuses my more recent “near perfect” blankets! This is the whole point of The Scrappy Rag…something that starts as no plan, no meaning, just scraps, can turn into something so meaningful and special for someone! Crochet doesn’t have to be perfect, life’s not perfect. And you don’t have to be either. Just scrap it together and snuggle up.🫶

It has been a busy first week of The Scrappy Rag! I’ve been working on multiple custom orders, trying to keep up with messages and sourcing new yarn!🤭 THANK YOU to everyone who has shared my posts and placed orders! I’m blown away at the amount of support I’ve received on this endeavor.

As soon as I am caught up on customs, I have some new patterns that I’m excited to share for summer! I have so many new colors and fibers, leaving me super inspired and excited to work on some new things for you guys!
