As a very type-A person, I love plans.

I love certainty.
I love knowing exactly how things will turn out.

Which is probably why crochet has taught me so much.

Because every project starts as a pile of yarn that doesn't look like much.

You have to trust the process before you can see the result.

And honestly?

Life feels a lot like that sometimes.

A few wrong stitches don't mean the project is ruined.

A few hard seasons don't mean you're failing.

Keep stitching.
Keep growing.

Save this for the days when the messy middle feels extra messy.

One of the biggest lies we tell ourselves is that

"If this was meant for me, it would feel easier."

But crochet doesn't work that way.

The first stitches feel awkward.
The first projects look wonky.
The first mistakes feel huge.

And yet... that's exactly how we learn.

The messy parts aren't signs to quit.

They're proof you're growing.

What's something hard you're learning right now?

One of the reasons I love cats so much is that they never seem embarrassed by the things they enjoy.

They fully commit to their joy.

And crochet gave me a safe place to explore that same feeling.

A place where creativity didn’t have to make sense to anyone else.

A place where I could experiment, play, and fully lean into the things that genuinely made me happy.

I realized the ā€œweirdā€ parts of ourselves are often the most lovable parts especially when you find people who light up right alongside you.

I used to think it was silly how obsessed cats are with tiny cozy spaces.

Like… you have this ENTIRE house
and somehow the cardboard box is still the superior option??

But I get it now.

Because sometimes the world feels loud and overstimulating.

And having a little ā€œbubbleā€ where you can feel calm, safe, and fully yourself is such an underrated kind of comfort.

That’s honestly what crochet became for me.

A tiny soft place where my brain can slow down for a bit.

And I think everyone deserves spaces like that.

What's your version of "bubble"?

06/16/2026

I think part of loving cats is loving how unapologetically themselves they are.

They don’t try to seem cool.
They don’t hide their excitement.
They just fully commit to being little chaotic creatures.

And crochet taught me the same thing.

The more I stopped trying to make everything ā€œperfectā€ or ā€œnormalā€ā€¦
the more joy I found in creating. šŸ§¶šŸ¤

In what "silly things" you find joy? I want to know! 😁

I genuinely think cats are little reminders that life is supposed to be enjoyed 😭

They don’t care about hustle culture.
They don’t measure their worth by productivity.
They aren’t trying to optimize every waking second.

They just:
rest when tired
play when curious
seek comfort
enjoy tiny moments fully

Crochet has been teaching me the same thing.

Not everything needs to become a goal, achievement, or side hustle to be valuable.

What’s one tiny thing lately that’s been bringing you joy?

06/11/2026

Crochet became a way to quiet my brain.

A way to slow down.
A way to reconnect with myself outside of productivity and pressure.

And I didn’t realize how badly I needed that.

There’s something deeply healing about making something slowly with your hands while the world tells you to constantly rush.

Crochet reminds me that existing softly is allowed too.
