Every now and then I remember how God made me feel “uncomfortable” until I listened and He revealed the gifts of my hands to me.

I relied solely on my big sisters for a lot of things especially groceries, cooking, hair (everything??? 🤫🤷🏽‍♀️)

If I got tired of something, I found a way to get it out of my way and move on to other things. Heck, I snipped a pair of scissors in the front and middle part of my hair so I could avoid sitting under iya ibadan 😆- I’ve since done that several times but in a more controlled manner.

God blessed me with 3 daughters who I had no idea how to even do puffs in their hair - I was that bad, y’all!

Look at me now, basking in His glory and using the blessings of my hands to manage

Bottom line is as you make your way to a new week, I implore you to listen to that gut feeling, to that inner voice and to Trust in God regardless of how things are going right now because He has plans for us and all we have to do is listen and watch it manifest in our favor .

Exercise, food with friends, park with kids, library runs, Rita’s ice on hernderson road, lots of food, more time outdoors and fulfilling orders.

That’s my weekend in a nutshell... my idea of resting, slowing down and recharging doesn’t necessarily mean being in bed. For me it’s doing everything that doesn’t look like “work” and doing things that bring me joy, calm, peace, mental recharge and physical recharge.
