One year for a Kid's loom knitting class I had them make a pumpkin and a snowperson. What made this fun for me was I had said: next week we'll start on our snowman. One of the young girl's corrected me by reminding me that it wasn't correct to say Snowman. It was a person. When the class was over and I was cleaning up, I pondered over the fact that it wasn't a real person. Lol. But I chose blue yarn anyway for the cap! In the meantime, the sock knitting class I conducted later was a winner. One of the clients was working on socks for her father. Another client expressed how the whole process of loom knitting socks helped her to better understand the strategy and techniques of the "parts" of the sock clearer. She chose to needle knit a pair of socks for her husband. And he loved them. He was impressed with the way they fit. This is why I enjoyed peg loom knitting. Everyone, including our children, has some things they love or don't love about one Medium over another. Or a view that is very personal to them. Learning something new opens your mind.. Expands not only the knowledge you acquire but your sphere of influence. And the best way to accomplish this is by learning how things work. Like building up a snowperson or knitting a pair of socks you thought you would never make!

Did you know that you can add beads to your loom knitting projects? You can make Afghans with the looms? Socks and sweaters too? You're projects are only limited to the size of the looms! And with the newer looms and it's advances in interlocking sections ~~~~skies the limit!

I haven't done much lately with my looms. And then Wham! I realized I needed to make some new scrubbies. But, I decided that hair scrunchies would be more fun. With men's casual ties coming up a second. And because I had crocheted a beaded head/ear warmer this winter, it occurred to me that I can do this on the loom!!! I took a small loom to start with for experimenting with the beads. This was actually rather relaxing. I am deciding on several options...when I'm done I'll show you! Lol.
