It is hard to believe that ten years have passed since we woke in Provincetown, a week before we launched Adam's Nest, to the news of the Pulse shooting. This is a piece by Kelly Holohan remembering the 49 lives lost on that day in Orlando.

G**s Against Guns was founded in the wake of the Pulse nightclub massacre, and Adam's Nest has been selling "shoot loads not guns" and "gun reform now" merchandise in support of their work fighting for sensible gun reform for the last decade.

G**s Against Guns was named an official Grand Marshal for the 2026 NYC Pride March to honor their advocacy and mark the decade-long milestone since the tragedy.

I'll take a side of grift with my kakistocracy.

Wake me up when he is no longer a resident. He has resided far too long in our collective consciences, and the path of destruction he will leave in his wake will take far longer to repair than it took to destroy.

DESIRE LINES has been awarded the NEXT Special Jury Award at Sundance 2024 Film Festival and the Silver Alexander Award at Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival!

"An underground narrative has long been whispered among transgender men: after coming out as trans, many of us develop an attraction for other men. In this hybrid documentary, history comes alive when an Iranian-American trans man time-travels on a dizzying quest to unravel his own s*xual desires. As Ahmad approaches age 60, his long-suppressed desires for other men become impossible to ignore. Having grown up in an era when homos*xual activity could block one’s access to medical transition, he can’t help but wonder whether his s*xuality and gender identity are completely at odds. He turns to the LGBT archives for answers, where he meets a 20-something trans archivist named Kieran. As Ahmad falls deeper into the archive, he is quite literally sucked into the text—becoming a time-traveler who participates in the q***r cruising history he reads about. This fictional narrative is interwoven with archival gems and a trove of contemporary oral histories from a diverse group of transmen across North America. These participants candidly discuss the evolution of their desires and illuminate their struggles with gender (non)conformity, fetishization, transphobia, s*xual racism, and safer s*x. Desire Lines pushes against binaries—fiction vs. non-fiction, reality vs. fantasy, public vs. private—in order to highlight the fallacy of “purity” that undergirds colonialist notions of discrete categories of being (or genre); embracing bewilderment as a liberatory strategy for trans representation."

It's Wear Orange Weekend, to honor survivors and build community with those working to end gun violence. As we approach the 10th anniversary of Pulse we are reminded that gun violence remains something we still seem unable to address legislatively in any meaningful way, even though:

"A steady majority of Americans—routinely hovering between 56% and 58% in national polling—support stricter laws covering the sale of fi****ms. Despite this broad public consensus, federal legislative action has stalled, leading to a fragmented landscape where states determine their own regulatory stringency." Everytown Research & Policy

Our "shoot loads not guns" collection supports G**s Against Guns; a prominent, direct-action LGBTQ+ gun-control advocacy group. Formed in the wake of the 2016 Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida, the group actively participates in Pride parades across the country to nonviolently challenge gun violence and honor victims of fi****ms.

NYC Pride has named G**s Against Guns the fifth and final Grand Marshal for the 2026 Pride March.
