Flashback Friday to Memorial Day weekend.

Scrolling through the photos, it's been a whirlwind. Select items are now $20 in the shop, as we're working to clean up random pieces in the shop as we prepare to go into off-season mode; super limited sizes and colors. Grab these pieces on sale now, as once we're sold through, they'll go back to full price or be retired.

Power to the people is available in sweatshirts, tees, and buttons too, one of several collaborations with Michele Pred supporting Indivisible Guide.

Express your outrage.

We think all of these actions are distractions from what those in power are actually doing behind the scenes and in front of our faces. The level of corruption and grift is truly immeasurable.

Though "Lake America" is the new name given to Lake Ontario by Donald Trump in August 2026 during a trade dispute with Canada, we're sticking to the five Great Lakes of North America we learned of in grade school: Superior, Michigan, Huron, Erie, and Ontario; easily remembered by the memory trick HOMES

Rest in power, Gloria Steinem.

“I never wanted to be a politician or elected person myself, so I loved to work for other women who did—and hope that more girls will do that. The problem is the feeling that we’re divided from politics, that our vote doesn’t count or what we do doesn’t count. In fact, everything we do counts.” Gloria Steinem

"Yesterday, Gloria Steinem passed away peacefully at her home in New York City, surrounded by some of the many who loved her. Gloria’s near-century on earth were years well-lived, and she continued working for equality until the very end.

"Gloria’s greatest gift was her ability to listen to others, to make others feel seen and heard. Her words, actions, and example gave people permission to be their truest selves. Gloria lived true to her independent spirit, always with curiosity and a great sense of humor.

"She spent her recent years doing the two things she loved most: being in community with others and writing. She has welcomed hundreds of guests into her living room for Talking Circles, a tradition she insisted will continue long after she is no longer with us. As Gloria wrote in her forthcoming book, 𝘈𝘯 𝘜𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦, “I have now lived for more than fifty years in this brownstone, in rooms that have witnessed lives before mine, and will know others after I am gone.” This book, along with her commitment to her home becoming a center for social justice movements, are among the many gifts Gloria has given the world with the hope they have ripple effects for generations to come. Gloria often quoted the adage: “The flap of a butterfly’s wing can change the weather hundreds of miles away.”

"Gloria loved the tradition of lighting signal fires on hills to light the way to the other side of the mountain. Lighting your own candle for Gloria makes you part of this global and celestial community circle.

In lieu of flowers, Gloria has asked that those wishing to honor her with a gift, may make a donation to Gloria’s Foundation." Gloria Steinem

The actions of this regime are truly unconscionable. The majestic beauty of our National Parks is something that needs to be preserved and not bulldozed. We have an entire collection of merchandise supporting the National Parks Conservation Association. From their site: "We're protecting and enhancing America's National Park System for present and future generations."

And just like that, it's August 31st. Summer in Provincetown has a rhythm, and many visitors have their set weeks on the calendar. I always know when Josh is in town, and a day at the beach is on the agenda. He's been after me for years for flatbills, and I was happy to oblige as he left with both 'Q***r' and 'Democracy Needs Your Courage.' Visibility and engagement with politics are needed if we are to get to the other side of this proverbial sh*tshow.
