Meet Howard Cao, currently on board Victoria Anna.

Howard is practicing to become a Master Artist in the rare Chinese tradition of inside-painted s***f bottles — tiny glass or crystal bottles painted entirely from the inside using a curved brush.

This art form dates back to the late 1800s and requires decades of discipline, patience, cultural knowledge, and extraordinary hand control.

The journey is incredibly demanding. An artist can apply for the title of Master Artist only three times in their entire life. If denied on the third attempt, they can never apply again.

Howard’s dedication is a powerful reminder that true mastery is built through years of practice, respect for tradition, and love for the craft.

On another evening, the Crew Cabaret brings even more cultural entertainment, hidden talents, and memorable performances from our crew.

With many officially recognized ethnic minorities in China, each performance offers a unique glimpse into the diversity, heritage, and artistry of Chinese culture. Please note that shows may vary by ship and sailing, as performances are rotated from time to time.
