I know it’s been almost two weeks since my last spotlight post—life definitely got in the way! 🤪 But I could never forget our MKAL highlight series, and today we are diving right back in with March’s stunning release! 🌌✨

Welcome to Clue 3 — NIGHT.

In this clue, our blankets transitioned into the serene, quiet beauty of the evening sky. We opened with contrasting colored beads to knit the visual shift from the brightness of day into the depth of night. Worked in "Blackcurrant"—a rich, deep purple that captures the night sky perfectly—this section was all about celestial magic. Chandi and her dyers at Expression Fiber Arts have outdone themselves again.

Clue 3 features four sets of charts mapped out with all 12 Zodiac star constellations! Each quadrant holds three signs (Q1: Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces | Q2: Aries, Ta**us, Gemini | Q3: Cancer, Leo, Virgo | Q4: Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius), turning our blanket into a sky map. Best of all, completing this clue officially brought our blankets into a full square shape!

One of my favorite things about this clue was seeing your personal twists. While many knit the zodiac charts, some of you created your own starry scatter or even beaded snowflakes! The creativity in this community continues to blow me away.

Swipe through to see these night skies in the wild!

I’m curious... if you were representing the night sky with beads, how would you choose to place them? Would you map a solar system, stitch your zodiac constellations, or scatter random beads for a wild galaxy effect? Let me know in the comments! 👇

The Expression Fiber Arts 2026 MCAL clue 8 released just last week and I've already seen some of you whip right through it! While our mystery shawl is flying off the hooks, today we are taking a cool look back at February's gorgeous progress for our weekly spotlight series. ❄️✨

Welcome to Clue 2 — Radiance.

February brought us into the cool, crystalline essence of winter's frozen landscape. Worked in the icy blue colorway "Radiance," this section introduced a key structural element for our entire shawl: an interlocked transition section that seamlessly blends the previous color with the new one. This interlocked technique will be our bridge throughout all the clues this year!

For the main section, we worked strategic chains and double crochet clusters to form a modified pineapple motif. The resulting lace gives the look of shimmering, vertical icicles stretching across the fabric.

Swipe through to see how our incredible community captured this winter glow! (Tap the photos to see the tagged makers—huge thank you to everyone who gave me permission to feature their work!) ➡️

I’d love to know... Had you ever worked an interlocked color transition like this before starting the Arcoiris MCAL, or was this a brand-new technique for you? Tell me in the comments! 👇

While Clue 8 just released yesterday and our mystery blanket is growing fast, today we’re taking a warm step back in our weekly spotlight series to celebrate February’s breathtaking progress! ☀️✨

Welcome to Clue 2 — DAY.

In this clue, we stepped out of the soft dawn and straight into the glorious warmth of the midday sun. Worked in the radiant Expression Fiber Arts color "Coral Rose" colorway—a gorgeous blend of warm yellows, oranges, and pinks—this section was all about creating pure sunshine on our needles.

To bring that radiant energy to life, Clue 2 introduced an engaging lace design with sunbeams expanding outward in every direction. We also began shaping our project into a square and added strategic beads that catch the light with a shimmering, sunlit effect!

Swipe through to see how our amazing community brought this sunshine to life! (Tap the photos to see the tagged makers—a massive thank you to everyone who gave me permission to feature their work!) ➡️

I’m dying to know... when it comes to adding beads to your work, are you Team "Total Fun & Worth the Sparkle" or Team "Absolute Hate It”? 😅 Spill your honest thoughts in the comments! 👇

Now that we’ve celebrated our knitters, it’s time to give our 2026 Arcoiris MCAL crocheters the spotlight they deserve! 🌈✨

Watching this mystery shawl unfold chain by chain has been an absolute dream. To show my deep appreciation to everyone who decided to embark on this yearlong crochet journey with me and the Expression Fiber Arts team, I’m launching a weekly spotlight series dedicated to your incredible work!

We’re kicking off where the spectrum first takes root: Clue 1 — Allegory. 💜

To set the tone for the entire year, January’s clue focuses on structural balance—serving as an allegory for new beginnings. Worked in the stunning, rich purple colorway "Allegory," this section highlights a balance of strength and thoughtful growth as our stitches form the foundation for the journey ahead.

Swipe through to see how this first shade of the rainbow came to life in the hands of our community! (A huge thank you to everyone who gave me permission to feature their progress!) ➡️

If you’ve been watching the mystery unfold from afar, remember: a yearlong journey through the full spectrum of hues means there is always room for you to join. You can grab the pattern, pick your yarn, and jump in whenever you’re ready! 🧶

I can’t believe we’re already past the halfway mark of the Expression Fiber Arts 2026 MKAL Vivaldi! 🌅✨

Watching this mystery blanket unfold month after month has been absolute magic, and I wanted a dedicated way to show my appreciation to everyone who decided to embark on this yearlong journey with us. So, I’m officially launching a new weekly spotlight series to celebrate your incredible work!

To kick off the series, I’m taking us back to where the symphony first began: Clue 1 — DAWN.

Back in January, we opened the year with the colorway "Pink Breeze"—a soft, glowing hue paired with a radial lace motif designed to create the illusion of the sun waking up over the horizon. Seeing how each of you brought this sunrise to life on your needles blew me away.

Swipe through to see Clue 1 through the hands of our community! A massive THANK YOU to the wonderful knitters featured in today’s carousel for letting me showcase their progress.

Whether you’ve been knitting along with us since January or you're just eyeing the pattern now, remember: a yearlong journey means there is always room for you to jump in. You can grab your pattern, pick your yarn, and catch up at your own pace. 🧶
Just hop over to EFA's website to get the free pattern (www.expressionfiberarts.com). And if you want the chance to win some wonderful prizes, visit their Ravelry page (https://www.ravelry.com/groups/expression-fiber-arts?s=tab) to sign up for the official Knit-Along!
