This is one of my favorite quotes! I love to share this with my boys because it reminds me to encourage their big dreams along with remembering mine! It's something so many of us forget to do, but it's never too late to start or pick up where you left off. The New Year is the perfect time to start dreaming about the year ahead, but maybe January got away from you. Well don’t wait another year, just start now. What's a dream you'd love to have come true this year?!

7 Best things I heard while teaching kindergarten today//

“You look like a candy cane.”

“Going on walks with my mom makes me happy.”

“You’re thin and long, I mean tall.” (I’m 5’4”😂)

“I can’t wait to find more worms at recess!”

“It’s not very good, but I’m trying my best.”

“Can I have a hug…again?”

“Mrs. Neil, can you be our customer?”

2️⃣ Lessons I learned:

⭐️ I ❤️ teaching more than all the other things I do.

⭐️ I CAN teach kindergarten.

After 18 years in education (9 of which I taught 5th grade and feared ever going any lower) I’ve made some breakthroughs this week. 😂 Thank you for trusting me with your class. They miss you, but I’ll@happily teach them another day.
