Super fun makeup and color gel test with !! Refreshing on some techniques, using an optical snoot and also some light painting with fiber optics, haven’t done those in awhile combined with awesome face makeup!! 🤩🥳

(Thanks for bearing with as I slowly get back to sharing work over the past years)

Images all have a key light in an optical snoot, then on axis color gel fill, additional color gel’d hair light for separation and color on background. And that first one with fiber optics with shutter drag 🤌🏼

Excited to have met and photographed with a beautiful piece from at this.. well known landmark. I’ve seen that long shot done before but never figured out where it was til this time!! Thanks again for this fun session! 🤩📸

Haven’t posted in awhile, Finally going through the archives!! and it’s definitely been quite a few months with travel and family and plenty of photography getting back into the groove of creativity and expanding on established techniques.. also I feel it’s appropriate for this photo of with a disco ball cause there’s a new epic disco dance space near I’m constantly super excited about 🪩 🕺🏼

I love playing with the opposite ends of what technical gear can do sometimes, going Really Really far away with a telephoto and making it seem like a wide shot for a slightly different aesthetic! Lit with a Profoto B1 and magnum reflector with diffusion panel. 🤩

I think this now counts as a throwback post, a magazine cover and editorial spread I had with for in August ‘21! Had a blast shooting this and finally seeing it published. Happy New Year all and I should probably post a little bit more… 🤔🤫😎

A little memory popped up of when I taught some photography and OCF in the Bahamas on the cruise. Brought a single light and stayed under HSS speeds to show you could overpower the sun using your light to subject distance. Swipe to the 3rd to see the light in frame with as our amazing light technician and BTS (which I rarely do) 😎🤫🤩
I ALSO used the umbrella itself to block the sun and put them in shade and used it to light

Every now and then I forget what it’s like to be on the other side of the camera for an amazing film photographer, thank you .rey_ for these photos at pop up! This also reminds me that I have 3 rolls of double exposure on film waiting patiently for me to develop.. 🤫🤪 oops.. anyone else out there shooting film?
