Cold weekends are when the best stories happen… and when most anglers bail right before the bite turns on.

If you think you’ll fish for 3 hours, dress for 5:
• Base layer that actually wicks
• Warm hoodie (you know which one 😉)
• Wind‑blocking outer shell
• Dry socks and gloves as backups

When you’re warm, you fish slower, think clearer, and stick it out when that one big bite finally shows up.

You’ve only got a few weekend hours to fish. If you spend half of them running from spot to spot, you’re just burning gas and hope.

Pick 2–3 high‑confidence areas before you launch. Commit to actually fishing them:
• Start on wind‑blown banks or points
• Hit any cover that “looks fishy” (wood, w**d edges, docks)
• Change baits before you change lakes

More casts in good water beats more miles on the motor. Same with shirts – a few go‑to Tug It designs you love > a closet full of “meh.”
