I wanted something new, fresh, not just a copy of the "other guys" bait that just came out. By first starting with crude, melted together prototypes, I would fashion a clay master together and make a crude plaster mold. I made and sold baits like this for 2 years, always improving and learning new things about the intricate process. Then, discovering aluminum injection molds brought me to an entir
e new realm of bait-making. I could make them faster, more professionally, and easier. Sightfishing has always been my absolute favorite way to catch fish. I believe that watching how a fish reacts to your presentation is the best way to learn. When I sightfish, I notice the fish, the cover, the time of day, the time of year, and the bait. All of this rolled together is what makes the fish eat or not eat. Taking my findings and applying that to my designs is what makes the baits I create stand out from the pack. Each and every bait is thought out, fished thoroughly and tried out in a wide variety of conditions, species, rigs, and more. The Largemouth Bass was my first true love, a fish that thousands of anglers chase daily across the US. My first designs were pointed towards the bass and its nature. They can be aggressive and territorial, lethargic and lazy all in one day. You need baits to fit every pattern, every lake, and every season. A craw for one spot, a frog for the next. A swimbait for the monsters, and a dropshot bait for the most finicky fish. Everything I did was about bass for 2 years, other species just were not in my crosshairs. To this day, my customer base is largely bass fisherman, but I wanted to widen my views to include more than just Americas classic fish. With my main focus for years being the Largemouth Bass, a location move to the coast of Georgia opened my eyes to new species, tactics, and a totally different mindset. The shallow water Redfish, aggressive Trout fishing, and my new passion, the Tarpon all taught me new ways to catch new fish. I quickly learnt what worked and what didn't, and within no time I was developing baits to fit the saltwater culture. Now my older freshwater baits worked well for these fish, baits such as the Rad Shad, Jerk Minnow, and even the Summer Craw all fooled Redfish, Flounder and Tarpon with ease. But I wanted some dedicated saltwater baits, so I added the Southern Slug and the Georgia Jumbo to the lineup. They fit the tactics and forage of saltwater fishing well, proving themselves with 26" Trout and 42" Bull Redfish, respectively. About Me
All in all, my company has grown tremendously, and my products have shifted and adapted to it. Some baits have fallen off the grid, some have been thrust into the spotlight. Almost everything I do is based off the feedback of my supporters and my customers, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Feel free to take a look around, ask me some questions, and most importantly- think outside the box!
