I think we'll be calling this one "The Jumbo". It's a 48 x 36 inch rectangle bed with a quilted high loft top filled with poly fill. It's fluffy and soft but still firm enough to not go flat. All these beds are being made with hidden zippers so they can be re-stuffed in the future and cleaned to freshen them up. This size would be great for a giant breed dog. Or, in the case of this particular bed a multi-dog family.

I know I've not posted in a long time, but I am still here. Painful arthritis in my hands has been making it difficult to sew as often as I'd like. However, I am starting to push myself to get behind the machine more and more lately and am toying with the idea of making and selling some products for my favorite kind of friends.. the furry kind. In the last few weeks I have been putting some prototypes together of some dog beds and crate pads of various sizes and shapes to get the logistics down for possibly doing them in larger quantity while maintaining exceptional quality. Something I'd buy for my own dogs. At this point I'm still building out a list of shapes, sizes and materials and cost. Here is a view to what I've been working on. I welcome feedback, bad as well as good. What price points would you expect to see on items like these.. I know there are cheap options out there.. I want to make these affordable as possible but well made and filled enough to stay comfortable for a long time and not flatten.

Trying to get these stiff old fingers moving again with a quick little zipped box pouch project. It's nice to sit at the sewing machine again.

Is your kid going off to college this September? Were you the parent sitting on those cold bleachers all those years, from Tot Soccer to High School, watching all those sports tournaments? Have you saved their team jerseys? What a great send off to keep them grounded and to remember who drove them to all those games all those years! How about a t-shirt quilt made out of all those jerseys or shirts showing High School team colors? We can use logos from the fronts and name/numbers from the back. We can even try to find a suitable back fabric that has a corresponding sports print or even a licensed fabric from the College or University that they are on their way to this fall. Quilted Memories LLC was proud to be a part of this special event today, the 25th Annual Thomas J. Walsh Jr golf open. Proceeds from this yearly event have been assisting high school seniors offset the cost of education since 1988. It was a great honor to be a part of this years event marking the outing's 25th milestone year!
