☘️ Unbelievable Discovery! ☘️

Did you know about the Azorella compacta, also called Yareta? 🌿 Found at an altitude of 14,000 feet in the Andes Mountains, this unique plant may look like moss, but it’s actually related to carrots! 🥕

What’s even more incredible is its age. Some Yareta plants are over 3,000 years old, growing less than 1.5 cm per year. 😱 The one in this photo is estimated to be 1,000+ years old!

Nature truly is amazing, isn’t it? 🌎💚

🌳 Elämää puiden latvoissa: Korowai-heimon tarina 🌳

Tiesitkö, että Korowai-heimo rakentaa kotejaan korkealle puiden latvoihin? 🏡

Korowai-heimo, joka asuu Papua-saarella Indonesiassa, on perinteisesti rakentanut korkeita puutaloja suojautuakseen tulvilta, villieläimiltä ja vihamielisiltä heimoilta. Nämä puutalot, jotka voivat olla todella korkeita, ovat osoitus heidän kekseliäisyydestään ja vahvasta yhteydestään luontoon.

Nykyään monet Korowai-heimon jäsenet asuvat kuitenkin tavallisissa kylissä. Puutaloja käytetään usein vain erityisiin seremonioihin tai turismiin.
