Here’s a cute picture of my mama and my baby!
Last week in stories I asked if you had a hard time getting outside in the winter. It’s also hard for me 😬 Between the cold and being pregnant (my coat no longer fits over my belly 😂). But my kids go crazy when they are stuck inside!! They need to get outside and I can tell when they have been cooped up for too long. Here’s a few tips we use that have helped us get out more often!
-Keeping all our gear in one easy place. I have a tote bag (second picture) where we keep all of our snow gear that either lives in the back of my car or in our mud room. This way when we want go out I don’t have to run around the house finding everything.
-Have good gear that keeps kids warm and is easy for them to put on. Ease is big for me with three little ones. If I have to put all the gear on all of my kids it quickly adds up to 33 things (base layers, socks, snow pants, coats, boots, gloves, and hats) I have to do plus getting myself dressed! I have found some great gear that my 6, 4, and even 2 year old can put on themselves! It’s also good gear that will keep them warm for longer than 10 minutes! Because when you spend that much time getting ready, you want them to play for hours right?
I’ve also seen some great tips from so many moms on here that take their kids out often in the winter. puts her kids boots on her car air vents to warm them up before they go on her little guys feet- genius! Bringing hot chocolate to warm everyone up after (I can’t remember who posted this one)
Now it’s your turn, what are some of your favorite tips for getting out in the winter?
