Okayyy amigas, I guess it’s time I introduce myself! 🤭🩷

We have SO many new amigas around here lately, and I realized I’ve never really introduced the girl behind Poderosa! I actually made a cute little Canva intro post before… but I got called out for that once, sooooo we’re gonna keep it cute and do it like this 😂😂😂

A little fun facts about me:

•🎀 My name is Karla, I’m 30 & a first-time boutique owner!
•📍 Born & raised in Midland, TX, but I moved to San Antonio in 2017 to pursue photography. I attended the Art Institute for a year and a half!
•🫶🏽 I met the LOML here in San Antonio and we’ve been together for almost 9 years! 🥹
•👦🏽 I’m a boy mom of 2 💙
•🐶 Corgi Mom 🐾
•👫 I’m 1 of 2 siblings and my big brother is one of my BEST friends. He also helped me open Poderosa & Co. 🥹🩷
•🎨 I’ve been making polymer clay jewelry for almost 4 years!
•🎀 I LOVE ALL things pink. If it’s pink, I probably want it 😂
•💃🏽 I love to dance!
•🩷 I LOVE girl time. Give me a good girls’ day, talking for hours and laughing until our stomachs hurt!
•☕️ I’m a HUGE coffee lover. Honestly, lately I’d probably choose a coffee date over a night out 😂 BUT I still love a good night out!

What started with me making polymer clay earrings has turned into a storefront, a boutique, a community of amazing women and a dream that keeps getting bigger. 🩷

Hi amigas 🤍

Unfortunately, due to the continued issues in our building following the storm, we will remain closed until Thursday.

This has been such a frustrating and emotional few days. I know so many in our community are dealing with the effects of this storm, and my heart is truly with everyone affected. 🤍

I’m also going to be honest… I’m feeling a little overwhelmed. 🥺 This little tiendita is my livelihood and how I help provide for my family, so being unexpectedly closed for almost 6 days is definitely stressful. But it’s not just me I’m thinking about. I have my amigas to look out for too. This little space supports so many dreams, small businesses, and families, and knowing that they are also being affected by being closed weighs heavy on me. 😭🤍

I’m trying my best to stay positive and remind myself that this is very temporary, but ya girl is still allowed to feel a little upset and overwhelmed too. 🫠😭

I appreciate everyone who has checked in, reached out, and continued to support not only me, but all of the amazing small businesses inside our tiendita. We’re hoping to be back open on Thursday, and I cannot wait to see y’all again. 🩷

Hi amigas! 🩷 Since we had to unexpectedly close this weekend due to the severe storm and losing power, we’ll be OPEN THIS TUESDAY to make up for it.

We know so many in our community are still without power and dealing with the aftermath, and we don’t take it for granted that our home and tiendita are okay. 🥺🤍 We’re praying for everyone affected and have also donated to help in any way we can.

And please, don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything. At the end of the day, we’re all human, and we’re here to help one another however we can. 🫶🏼
