I spent most of my life asking my grandfather how he felt; his response was always short of "I'm good". I didn't understand why until I became an adult. Anxiety and depression are not a choice we make every morning. They're not a piece of clothing we choose from the closet. They come with you whether you want them or not. They attach to you in ways you can't explain, even when you want to shake them off and say "I'm having a great day and I love you". I wish I had understood him when he told me he was anxious, I wish I had known how to make him feel better instead of rolling my eyes and thinking he just needed to snap out of it.

I loved my grandfather dearly and I know he loved us with all his heart. He would have done anything and given everything to ensure we were cared for. I miss him dearly... Happy Heavenly birthday abu (Papi Gordo).

I cling to the belief that humanity is inherently good. That people don't intentionally wound or break the hearts of others. That love, a potent force, can conquer all. That a kiss holds magic, and a hug can mend a shattered heart. I believe we will all find our way, that happiness is not a privilege reserved for a select few.

I choose to leap, to hope, to fly, even in the face of fear. Living in a state of constant caution, guarding myself, and hiding my true self is not the life I aspire to. Each failed attempt, each tear shed, has left its mark, but it has not altered my core. I refuse to let someone's inability to recognize my magic define me or diminish what I have to offer. Their loss, not mine. And while they may never find someone willing to risk everything for their touch, that is their cross to bear.

Good morning & Happy Friday!

It's 2024, and we have information coming at us from all sides and angles. Everyone is entitled to opinions and beliefs, but information is power, and knowledge is power. Sharing false information on a Social Media platform accessed by millions at any given time is simply irresponsible. It takes a minute to check your sources. It takes a minute to find out if you're spreading lies that can be damaging to someone's life, reputation, and livelihood.

If it's not the Bacchanalia, it's a "Male" boxer fighting against a female. If you want to believe all elephants fly and donkeys have 3 tails that's on you. If you choose to support and spread lies, I feel pity for you.

It would be so much healthier if we all focused on joy, on sharing positivity, and stopped mud-slinging. I've seen so many friends unfollow and stop talking to each other because they can't see past their differences and the division these polarizing topics have generated.

I hope all my friends choose to be wise and arm themselves with information and facts before sharing more lies and misinformation. We're saturated with bad news, hate, racism, homophobia, and political BS 24/7... share something positive instead.

I'll admit I had an ulterior motive to make this Vegetarian Cocido de Garbanzos but it turned out so good that I've been eating it for 3 days.

I didn't make farro today, so I added rice and it's delicious either way.

The important thing about Vegetarian or meatless eating is buying fresh ingredients and adding seasoning.

This is almost as good as my grandparents Cocido and I don't even miss the pigs feet.

The fluorescent lights of my grandfather's company buzzed overhead – my first job as a receptionist. College loomed, and the answering service world beckoned. Little did I know, that 3pm to midnight shift would become a turning point in my life.

Global Response wasn't just a workplace; it was a school. Even today, the memories are vivid: My manager's name, the office layout, the voices on the other end of the line. The thrill of helping a worried elderly woman with her cable, followed by a call from a frantic mom with a sick child – these experiences sparked a fire in me. This, I knew, was my calling – the world of call centers.

22 years have flown by, and I wouldn't trade a single minute of this incredible journey. As a Hotel Front Desk Manager, I thrived on the daily challenges of guest interactions. But the magic of call centers never faded. So, in 2007, I returned – this time to Teleconteste de PR/Appletree San Juan. Appletree became my launchpad, allowing me to explore within the industry. From Agent to Supervisor, Site Coach to Programmer, I honed my skills alongside a team dedicated to exceeding expectations on every call.

2020 brought a pivotal decision. Leaving was a leap of faith – a new company, a new team. Yet, TAS United embraced me with open arms, valuing my ideas from the get-go. Programmer. Programming Manager. Client Services Manager. Operations Manager. With each role, I championed change, and the sense of accomplishment is immeasurable.

Tears were shed, sacrifices made – more than I care to admit. But the rewards were worth it all. Today, I shed the Operations hat and embark on a new adventure. As Client Engagement Executive and Onboarding Specialist, I'm exhilarated by the prospect of shaping client experiences from day one. This role allows me to fuel TASU's growth while ensuring clients needs are not only met, but that exceed their expectations.
