VA Can No Longer Deny Your Claim in SILENCE
๐จ ATTENTION WOMEN VETERANS: A federal court just changed the game, For years, the VA could deny your benefits claim without actually telling you. They'd just stay silent, and you were supposed to somehow know that silence meant "denied." That ends NOW.
On February 5, 2026, the U.S. Court of Appeals ruled that the VA MUST explicitly notify veterans when denying claims. No more implicit denials. No more guessing games. No more wondering if your MST claim, chronic pain condition, or secondary claims just got lost in the system.
Your multi-issue claims (PTSD, chronic pain, autoimmune conditions) must ALL get explicit decisions
โ MST survivors will now receive clear decisions they can actually appeal
โ Character of discharge determinations can no longer be silently ignored
โ You'll know exactly what was decided and WHY
If you've been waiting months for a VA decision and heard nothing, you now have legal grounds to DEMAND an explicit response. The Hamill v. Collins decision is a victory for every woman veteran who's been dismissed, overlooked, or left in the dark by a system that should be serving us.
