I’m deep in the paint on the “repurpose antique linens into crop tops” trend and I can’t seem to recover 🙈🥰🥳

Adapted a pattern by Sewing with Solana ❤️ because the Lucy dress is everything 😍🧵🪡

I made this top using some striped fabric I found in Colorado a few weeks ago and the Daisy Blouse pattern and I love it so much I may actually never take it off. That’s all ❤️

Designing the Alice Blouse has been nothing if not a labor of love 🥰

She has a big ruffled collar and tucks in just enough at the waistline and comfy poufy sleeves. So far, I’ve made her in light floral seersucker and my Kookaburra printed cotton gauze, and finished each sample with buttons my daughter picked out at the Saint Ouen market in Paris two years ago 🧵🪡

This ruffled Alice Blouse and a sleek wide leg Alice trouser will be available later this year, whenever my patterns are done and ready. Here’s to creating things slow 💕

Learn how to sew, so that you, too, can try on three identical tops in different fabrics instead of walking your daughter up for school 🥹🧵🤗

I wore my retro Indigo top for a very sunny California Saturday 💕

I have a special bunchy maxi skirt pattern in the works to go with this top. This one takes only a couple hours to make start to finish and I can’t wait to share the pattern with y’all 🥰🧵

I’m forever obsessed with little airy blouses because SoCal gets so hot ☀️

I named this boxy crop pattern “Beatrice” after one of my great grandmothers and sewed this one from the light Indian cotton remnants I found last fall at 💕

It’s part of the slow pattern collection I’ve been working on for the past couple of years… to be released, whenever it’s done 🤗

More to come 🧵😘

How is going vs how it started ❤️

I turned my daughter’s newborn quilt into a nice big cozy Coast Coat for her fifth birthday, and it’s giving me all the nostalgia 🥹

Making meaningful things with my hands is one of my primary methods for finding peace at the moment. Very few things in life feel within our control these days, but at least fabric will only slip through our fingers when we let it. Happy sewing ❤️

I made the Airlie Dress in five fabrics 🧵❤️💕

1. Rayon challis by
2. A linen viscose viscose remnant by D&G (allegedly)
3. Cotton muslin from
4. Cotton sateen from
5. Seersucker from

The linen viscose won this time. I am 100% in the mood for spring 🌷

Oh yeah… I also cut my hair 💕🤗
