Happy Monday Dissident Nation! This week's theme is:

Keep Going

A particularly frustrating part of struggle is the ability that it has to stop us dead in our tracks IF we allow it. The potential embarrassment of failure freezes us. The possibility for rejection discourages us. The idea of disappointment makes us check out of the game.

The problem isn’t that our struggles trip us up and prevent us from moving forward. It’s that we choose to stay stuck on the problems. We agonize over them; we obsess and analyze and dissect them. We decide that if we can get down to the root of our recurring challenges, we can defeat them once and for all. Most people get hung up on the details. Details can paralyze you. Highly successful people don’t worry about the details; they trust the details will work out themselves. They have faith.

Sometimes analysis serves as a weak excuse to stay stuck in the center of our issues. It’s easier to dissect and analyze them than it is to move on.

It appears that successful people inherently know this. Instead, always move forward. Always move toward the target. Keep putting one foot in front of the other and then do it again until you get to the target. The secret behind it - Intention. How you do it… the method is negligible. With a high level of intention and a focused goal, you will eventually discover the method.

Your abilities will increase as you advance and you will find even your intentions will increase. Through resistance and pushing through, you show your ability to succeed. Always move forward.

The solution to your problem is not to contemplate all the ways in which you’re not good enough. Get back up and prove to yourself that you are.

Put yourself back out there. Take the risks that you are most afraid to take. Look at your life as a series of averages rather than a series of individual hits and misses. Most of life is a series of failures before you hit success. Nine times out of then you will strike out. And eventually you hit it out of the park at least once.

That one hit is worth all the strike-outs in the world.

So get out there and get your nine strike-outs and - No Matter What - Keep F*cking Going!

Happy Monday Dissident Nation! Hope you all had a great holiday weekend. This week's theme is brought to us by our very own Matty Matt Cahalane . This week's them is:

UNF*CKWITHAB

It is not an actual word, but it has a definition. You will not find it in any dictionary, but it has meaning. Much like this brand has a message, and a purpose, so does this word. We have built a brand that does not conform to the norms of society, it goes against the grain of the status quo, and it boldly defies what this world has expected it to become. Like this word, we established a strength in being exactly who the f*ck we are. We take a stand daily, defending what we believe in, and maintaining that belief despite scrutiny and doubt. We have a foundation that is not just set in stone, but rooted deep within us, so deep, it would require digging to the very core of hell to uproot it. It is because of this word that we have succeeded in being that which we are;
DISSIDENT.

Now, don’t think for one second that this word is just another catchy, trendy, word of the week. This word may not be to your liking, or for your flavor palate. It could be “too loud”, or maybe a little too “punchy”, it could be a little “too much.” Well, would you expect anything less from us? This word holds much more value, meaning, and longevity than your typical “flavor of the week.” It will stand the test of time, just as we will stand to test these times. We will continue to push, encourage, lead, and create. We will inspire others to use this word, apply it’s meaning, and represent its purpose here. This word has the capability to be era defining, culture shocking, attitude shifting, all while remaining as it is stated and defined; “UNF*CKWITHABLE!”

We strive to encourage others to see new perspectives, and to empower others to create their own perception of what life is and is not. To seek value and purpose in life. To not just live life, but experience it. With this comes the reactive state of our society, the buff from the normal seekers and sayers, the fall in liners, and traditionalists. Those that oppose change, and who fear the unknown and the challenges to this illusion driven homeostasis they call reality. See the fact is, there is going to be a chance for the world to influence you, to waiver you, to bend you, even break you. To thwart your vowed efforts of being exactly who the f*ck you are, and living your own life. There is going to be a wrath seeking force to knock you back in line and keep you there. To peg you as different, and slip that misbent, artificial intelligence into your brain, and control you. This world will do everything in its power to create a singular existence it feels you require. It will try and sucker you with its promises of security, safety, comfort zones, and protection. Fill you with false senses of gratitude for a life you never f*ckin chose, nor asked for. A life not your own, but of hundreds of hundreds of thousands of others. All the exact same! Plain and simple, the world is going to f*ck with you. The only way you can take a stand against it, is to be UNF*CKWITHABLE!

Our world today is a convection of deception, constantly the bu****it is on the rise, and the truth, subsurface and disregarded. We must hold true and steady the course through the lies and contradictions. We have to hold the line between our own lives, and the world that tries to breach in. There is an influence we face, a confrontation we battle, and a “self” we must valiantly defend! We are brought into a world we have no control over. We are not responsible for this world that we are born into. The only thing we do have control over, is the life we create, as we grow. We have control over our direction, and our beliefs, despite what tradition tells us. We have control over how we respond to the outside world, and how we will or will not react to it. We control the line that we place in the sand, and at times, tides will come, and try to wash it away. Heavy winds will come to cover the line and blur your vision. We must not let this line falter and the outside world cross in and begin to wreak havoc on everything we have fought so hard to maintain. It will challenge us, it will test us, it will try and befriend us, convince us, it will put every effort into persuading us. We must make this world aware what will happen if it tries. What we are willing to do, what we will do. This world needs to be reminded of who the f*ck we are! That we will remain, we will stay, firmly planted, roots deep, and we will look all of this straight in the face and say, “you can’t f*ck with this!”

“It is not that we as a people are undereducated. It is the fact we are taught just enough to be educated, and never question what we are being taught, and why.”

11/23/2020

Happy Monday Dissident Nation! This week's theme is a reminder for us all to:

Be Thankful

Gratitude is something we could all benefit from. Gratitude means thankfulness, counting your blessings, noticing simple pleasures, and acknowledging everything that you receive. It means learning to live your life as if everything were a miracle, and being aware on a continuous basis of how much you’ve been given. Gratitude shifts your focus from what your life lacks to the abundance that is already present.
People tend to take for granted the good that is already present in their lives. There’s a gratitude exercise that challenges you should imagine losing some of the things that you take for granted, such as your home, your ability to see or hear, your ability to walk, or anything that currently gives you comfort. Then imagine getting each of these things back, one by one, and consider how grateful you would be for each and every one. Some of the most successful people are unfulfilled and unhappy because they base their lives off of expectations, rather than appreciation, reversing the two can cause a monumental shift in happiness in your life. Start finding joy in the small things instead of waiting for that one moment.
What we focus on, what we put our attention on really determines how we feel about that particular day or life in general. Focusing on the things that you are grateful for on a daily basis can help you in the long run. Start the day with three things you're grateful for. Your list of three things doesn't have to consist of big moments it can be a meal you just had or a moment with a friend. I promise you it begins to change the quality of your day and has long-term results as well.
Practicing gratitude, just like working out, improves your mental “fitness” over time. But.. just like working out, there’s an important caveat: It’s ridiculously easy to be grateful when things are going well. But it’s a thousand times more important to practice gratitude when they aren’t. There’s evidence to suggest that being grateful, despite your circumstances can improve every single area of your life, and actually brings in more things to be grateful for.
It’s easy to fall into the trap of feeling like everyone else has more to be grateful for then we do. When we feel a bit crap it’s easy to forget all the small parts of our lives that we can be grateful for.
Keeping a journal or making a gratitude list can be a great way of keeping our spirits up and reminding ourselves we have lots to be thankful for.
Noting down the positive parts of our lives is also a good way of ensuring we keep doing them.
Once you become oriented toward looking for things to be grateful for, you will find that you begin to appreciate simple pleasures and things that you previously took for granted. Gratitude should not be just a reaction to getting what you want, but an all-the-time gratitude, the kind where you notice the little things and where you constantly look for the good even in unpleasant situations. Today, start bringing gratitude to your experiences, instead of waiting for a positive experience in order to feel grateful; in this way, you’ll be on your way toward becoming a master of gratitude.
We hope that this year's Thanksgiving is a reminder that it's not the only day you can express your gratitude. "Practicing” gratitude really is as simple as it sounds: Start your day each day, no matter how things are going, by simply listing things that you’re grateful for.

Happy Monday Dissident Nation! This week's theme is:

Stop Trying. Just Do!

Action is important in everything we do. Without it, nothing ever really happens. Those who make things happen realize the importance of action. If you take a good look at the men and women who have excelled themselves in any field you’ll notice that these people have a knack for getting things done-action is their watchword.

Action is what separates dreamers from achievers. While the dreamer is caught up in the world of his dreams and endless fantasies, the achiever rolls up his sleeves and throws himself into the fray, his face marred by dust, sweat and blood and doesn't allow himself the luxury of being distracted from his course of his action.
The achiever knows that dreams alone cannot get him to where he desires to be. He must do something radically different. He must combine his dreams with consistent action because it is only action that is consistent with our dreams that can produce steady results. Small, consistent action will produce significant results.

When you have a dream or a goal, you must do something every day to make your dreams and goals a reality. A river does not become a river overnight-it. Little drops of water can make an ocean in the same way massive waves of water pounding at a rock over an extended period of time will eventually make a hole through it, no matter how long it takes.
Consistent action has the power to unleash our potential beyond our wildest imagination. Sometimes we become so scared that we frequently get caught up in trying to put together the seamless plans that would make us accomplish our goals effortlessly. But there is no such thing as a perfect plan. Waiting for the perfect moment to launch out may just mean that you would have to wait forever. So here is a piece of advice from someone who has learned the hard way - start with whatever you’ve got at your disposal RIGHT NOW. What matters is the effort you put into your work every single day. There’s a caveat though.

Tiresome action without any clear goal in mind will just lead to a dead end. You don’t want to put in that entire work just end up getting frustrated at the end of the day. Bottom line, action has to be focused to produce meaningful results.
Be wise, focus your efforts, complete a task successfully before moving to the next.

Remember, your aim here is not to be a workhorse but to yield outcomes that will add value to your life and the world around you.

Happy Monday Dissident Nation. This week's theme is :

Stay Consistent.

When it comes to achievement in any area of our life, there aren’t many things that hold us back quite like we hold ourselves back. Beyond our fear and lack of accountability, one of the biggest reasons most people struggle with accomplishing their goals is a lack of CONSISTENCY.

Successful people will tell you that being consistent day in and day out has been one of the biggest (if not the biggest) reasons they’ve been able to conquer their goals. So, why is it so hard to stick to the daily tasks we assign ourselves?

Well, let’s be honest, sticking to a routine and doing the same thing everyday tends to get boring. Once the excitement is over and life becomes a little more real, our first instinct is to stop. The fun is over. Let’s move on. NEXT.

Sure, it’s easy to get sidetracked from time to time, but if you want to take your life to the next level, you need to learn how to be consistent. Although the concept of consistency is an easy one to grasp, a lot of people struggle with it.

If you find that you get distracted easily or aren’t getting the results that you want, you aren’t alone. According to a research by the University of Scranton, 92 percent of people that set New Year's goals never actually achieve them! Why? Because they haven’t learned how to be consistent. Being consistent requires a sense of commitment and ability to look beyond how you feel in a moment. It’s about understanding and accepting that every time you show up even when you really don’t feel like it, you’re showing up for your future!

Learning how to be consistent takes discipline. You must practice it and also accept that at times you’ll feel bored and antsy and sometimes you’ll feel like you’re on the edge of your seat. But no matter how you feel, you should always push yourself and follow through.

The key reason why most people struggle with staying consistent over the long-term is that they only live for the short-term. In other words, if they don’t get immediate results from their actions, they don’t see the point with continuing with those actions over the long-haul. However, the habit of consistency isn’t about obtaining quick results. It’s rather about making incremental progress and improvements over an extended period of time. It’s about learning, growing, and adapting your actions that can help lead to incremental improvements over an extended period of time. It’s all about improving your effectiveness and efficiency at every step of your journey. Therefore, consistency demands that you stay vigilant and focused on making incremental improvements and not just sticking with the status quo.

Your future rests purely in your hands. You and you alone can decide within each moment what you will focus on. You and you alone can choose an alternate your course of action. And you and you alone can make up your mind to start making positive changes today. You, of course, won’t see much of a difference today, nor will you see a difference tomorrow, next week or, maybe, even next month. But over the course of many years, your consistency will build the foundations of a far richer, happier and more fulfilling life.

Happy Monday Dissident Nation! This week's theme is:

Level up.

There is always another level. You may have achieved alot in your life, but you will not stay at the top unless you are hungry to grow, to improve, to reach the next level. You may have achieved more than anybody around you but maybe the standard of people around you needs to improve. Maybe they are making you complacent.
There is no such thing as achieving your ultimate level of skill and knowledge; there is always something new to learn, something great to accomplish. If you want to be successful, and, most importantly, satisfied with your life, you absolutely have to keep moving and keep leveling up. The idea of constant improvement, of always getting better and better at what you do, is something that can change your life. There are countless people out there who are very successful, yet they have refused to stop where they are. They continue to learn and improve and grow. Are you one of them?

One of the most depressing things in the world is the belief that nothing can change and that you're stuck. You don't need to live in a "certain" way. You need to keep improving whatever is working for you. You need to get better and better at what you do. If you have lost a job, make sure your next job is an even better one. If you have lost a competition show, make sure you come in better and stronger next time. You own your future and you can make it be whatever you want.

“Always dream and shoot higher than you know you can do. Do not bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself.” William Faulkner

Write daily, weekly and monthly goals

There is something magical about seeing your own hand writing down everything you know you want to achieve. Putting it on a piece of paper makes your dreams become real, achievable goals. Write down what you need to do each day, week and month to be better than you were in the past. You want to make sure you win this competition? Write it down along with small steps you can take right now to get closer to your final goal.

Work through your fears

Fear kills more dreams than failure ever will. What are you afraid of? Some of you may be afraid of failing, some of people talking behind your backs. Whatever your fear, you can be comfortable or courageous, but not both at once. In the end, you have nothing to lose. Even if your plan doesn't work out you will acquire an amazing experience that will help you do better next time.

Make decisions

This one may come as a surprise to you, but making daily decisions prepares you for taking control over your life and starting to level Training yourself to make decisions will ensure you are ready to step up your game when it's time.

It is your sole responsibility to improve yourself. Get motivated today and take your life to the next level with these motivational tips. There is always a better you inside waiting to be awoken. You’re the only person holding yourself back from achieving your dreams, it’s time to take your life to the next level.

10/26/2020

Happy Monday Dissident Nation! This weeks theme is:

Follow Your Dreams!

Everyone is capable of dreaming, but not everyone has the courage to live their dreams. When people aren’t living or going after their dreams they often have limited belief systems. They believe that their current circumstances and or surroundings are keeping them from achieving the things they want to do in life.
We all have unique sets of circumstances in our lives that we can use as excuses, but learning to find those workarounds in our life that give us the ability to succeed, can inspire us to start implementing changes in our lives that need to be made, to make our dreams come true. You are never too old, too poor, too young, or too sick to live your dreams. You might not get there the same way as others but if you start chasing your dreams now you eventually will get there.
Dreams are just dreams until you decide they are going to be something more. Following your dreams is not something everyone is cut out to do. Dream chasing is for those who dare to take a chance to believe, that their dream is something more, than a thought or possibility.
If you have been inspired to start chasing your dreams here are 5 things you should know about the journey:
1. There is no such thing as the perfect time
There will always be an excuse for you to keep waiting for the perfect set of circumstances to appear in your life. There is never a perfect time to start chasing your. Don’t put off living your dream until tomorrow; tomorrow is not guaranteed.
2. Dreams don't work unless you do
This is where dreamers often get stuck, the taking action part. Dreams are great to have, but living them is the game changer. Dreaming is the formulation of a thought and living the dream is taking that thought and implementing it into actions that will produce the dream. If all the great dreamers in the world kept their dream in the idea stage we might not have things such as planes, phones, or cars.
3. Obstacles Will Appear
When you are chasing your dream be prepared to meet with obstacles. Every dream chaser meets them. The thing about obstacles is that you need to learn from them, find a solution, and continue on your path to your dream. Do not let your obstacles detour you from continuing on the path to your dreams.
4. You'll meet other dream seekers
When you pursuing your dreams odds are you'll attract other people who have the same values and interests. the more you surround yourself with like minded peopleand achievers the urther you'll go. when tough times come along and you find it hard to keep going, your friends will push yut o keep going.
5. It’s Your Dream
Take responsibility to make your dream happen. There is no easy button .There is no fast track. Learn from your mistakes. That's what it's all about. No one will ever be as passionate about your dream as you. Own it!
Ultimately there is no guarantee of success. You will never know what living your dream feels like unless you roll your sleeves up and get ready to put in the work and start chasing them. If you don’t start a journey you can’t finish one. Start visualizing what the end of the finish line looks like and manifest the outcome!

Happy Monday Dissident Nation! This week's theme is:

Believe In Yourself

Belief in yourself is the most crucial ingredient to success and achieving your goals in life. When you come across the toughest obstacles life has to throw at you, it supplies you with the level of perseverance needed to overcome. So this week take time to reflect on the level of faith you have in yourself.

Take inventory of any self-limiting beliefs you may have and investigate their origin. Many doubts come from negative outside influences like people or the media and they speak no truth to who you really are as a person. Cast the negativity to the side and stay in touch with your inner strength.

If your doubts come from within, begin to substitute them with empowering beliefs that will help you move to a new state of mind where anything is possible. As a wise man once reflected, “There were all kinds of things I was afraid of at first, but by acting as if I was not afraid, I gradually ceased to be afraid.” When you have faith in yourself, a mysterious force begins turning its wheels. Pathways open up to you and problems begin to be solved because you have the ability to move boldly with action. You CAN do it if you BELIEVE you can do it. The key is to be true to yourself, to be true to the very best that is in you, and to live your life consistent with your highest values and aspirations. This is the only way to truly learn how to believe in yourself.

Everything you have in your life is a result of your belief in yourself and the belief that it’s possible. Here are the four most important steps to learning how to believe in yourself. Practice them and you’ll be amazed at the results:

Believe it’s possible. Believe that you can do it regardless of what anyone says or where you are in life.
Visualize it. Think about exactly what your life would look like if you had already achieved your dream.
Act as if. Always act in a way that is consistent with where you want to go.
Take action towards your goals. Do not let fear stop you, nothing happens in life until you take action.
We encourage you to never compromise your integrity by trying to be or say or feel something that is not true for you.

And – more importantly – never compromise your potential to grow due to self-limiting doubts. Instead, embrace your confidence and believe in yourself because you really can do anything you put your mind to.

10/12/2020

Happy Monday Team! This week's theme is one of my favorites, that will really require you to dig deep and help you channel some untapped potential:

What's Your Why?

Seems like a very simple question at first glance, but once you start digging deeper, you'll quickly realize that in fact it is NOT. Not easy at all. When we are asking you, "What's Your Why?", we mean what is that driving factor that fuels what you do? What is it that you strongly believe in? What motivates you to get out of bed every morning and do what you do no matter what weather is outside or how tired you are? What Is Your WHY?

If you’ve ever faced a significant crisis in your life and were able to tap into reserves of energy and courage, you likely didn’t know you had, you have experienced the power of purpose and determination Your mission was clear. Your goal was compelling. Your focus was laser-like. Your potential was tapped. Having a clear purpose enables you to focus your efforts on what matters most, compelling you to take risks and push forward regardless of the odds or obstacles.

‘HE WHO HAS A WHY CAN ENDURE ANY HOW.’
Where do you get your motivation from? What is that feeling of determination you experience when you are about to start something new? In the beginning of any new adventure, like starting a new training program, for example, sheer excitement is usually motivation in itself.
After a certain period of time, however, things can become stale. Perhaps, you have achieved your original goals, or maybe you have reached somewhat of a plateau. Or maybe the newness has just worn off? The question then becomes, where did all that motivation go? Why did it become so much more difficult to stick to your regime and continue with your fitness program?
When motivation starts wearing off, and have no doubt, it happens to absolutely everyone, even to the most passionate of us, it is only natural for you to start doubting everything you do. If you have been on a training routine for a while, you may stop seeing results, you may get tired or even bored. Whatever it is that you are experiencing, one way that you can rekindle your passion is by asking yourself one simple question: Why? Why did you start your training on the first place?
What is your WHY? Is it to prove the doubters wrong? Is it to prove yourself right?

There are two types of motivation; intrinsic and extrinsic. Intrinsic motivation means that you motivation comes from within. You have the desire to perform a specific task, because its results are in accordance with your belief system or fulfill a desire and therefore you attach importance to it.
Extrinsic motivation, on the other hand, means that your motivation comes from the outside. Extrinsic motivation requires you to scroll through endless Instagram posts looking for that or wait for a gym partner to show up and yell at you to finish off one more set. Intrinsic motivation, on the opposite, makes you go to the gym to perfect yourself and your movements. You go to make yourself better. Intrinsic motivation is the true meaning of “do more of what makes you happy.”
Whenever you feel like you are losing your motivation, go ahead and ask yourself why you do what you do. What was the reason behind starting on this path initially? Answering the Why can lead to a new mantra, clarity in goal setting, and an inner peace. In other words, newly found motivation!

Being one with the force that is driving you is what allows you to push forward through the down times, when motivation and willpower are not enough. Get to know the reasons that move you forward past discomfort, fear, and doubt. Be crystal clear about your Why and don’t lose sight of it, ever! Feel it in your veins and let it be your everlasting fuel. Let your Vision and reasons pull you instead of being pushed by less powerful and motivating reasons, like other people’s plan for your life or things that you’re not truly passionate about, but society tells you you should do.
The more specific your why, the more it can boost your energy. Instead of, “I want to be healthy” maybe it’s, “I want to be healthy so I feel better when I wake up in the morning so I can enjoy that time with my family.”

When you know your why, write it down and post it somewhere you’ll see it often!
Your why may change throughout your journey and that’s okay! Keep checking in with it and see how it changes as you make progress towards your goals.

Happy Monday Dissident Nation! this week's theme is:

EXECUTE

Your Goals are set. You've written them down, now what? The best tools to start moving towards your goals are your own hands and feet! Meet the universe halfway by taking intelligent action, and you'll be well-positioned to seize opportunities as they arise. Opportunities tend to shun people who appear to be standing still.

Some people approach goal setting with incredible ambition but little patience, so they try to squeeze many years' worth of goals into a single year or less.
Eventually they get frustrated by the lack of rapid progress. This sometimes leads them to turn their backs on goal setting altogether for a while.

MANY IMAGINE. FEW EXECUTE.

This year become your own project manager. Start with writing down the specific plan and process it will take to properly execute the actions required to achieve your goals. Start with the end result and move backwards from it, charting the steps to get there in chronological order. Create your essential to do list, and break your day down into bite size blocks of time for specific tasks that chip away at the goal and makes consistent progress.

Proper planning and taking Action is what separates dreamers from achievers. While the dreamer is caught up in the world of his dreams and endless fantasies, the achiever rolls up his sleeves and throws himself into the fray, his face marred by dust, sweat and blood and doesn't allow himself the luxury of being distracted from his course of his action.
Always remember, success is about consistency and the process, even if it's not perfect at the outset! What’s important is making progress each and every day, no matter how small. As you begin to build momentum and see actual results, you will pick up speed and continue to perfect your process, refining the system as you go. What matters most is taking action and executing your plan! So focus today and the rest of this week on taking action and beginning to execute!
This year we want to challenge you to start executing and acting instead of wasting your time on worry about not getting anything done.
