the black Christmas tree is up, the Halloween lights are glowing, and the Halloween books are officially back on the shelves 🖤✨ i know it’s only September, but this room is officially entering its spooky little era 😂🎃

and we are still SO far from the finished vision…next comes all the handmade details that are going to bring this Nightmare Before Christmas transformation together 👀🖤🎄

day one: the reset 🎃🖤

i have a very ambitious idea for my kids’ room this Halloween but first, the room needs a serious reset before we can even begin 😂 so we’re starting by packing away summer, clearing out the clutter, and giving this space a good deep clean.

next up…we’re turning this room into a Nightmare Before Christmas-inspired wonderland…err, nightmareland? 🖤🎃🎄

and I’m making SO much of it myself. think garlands, ornaments, monster wreaths, snakes and probably a few projects I’ll regret starting halfway through 😂 this is going to be a BIG transformation, so follow along because I’m taking you through every step.

i used to think handmade decor was something you bought from someone who was actually crafty 😂 then I realized…I can just learn how to make it myself.

now I look at seasonal decor completely differently. there’s something so special about looking around your kids’ spaces and knowing you made that 🥹🤍

if you’ve ever thought, “I wish I could make things like that,” - you absolutely can! you just need someone to teach you 🪡✨
