It’s still surreal to me to think how much has changed. I wanted to post sooner, but it’s been hard to even get through some days lately without feeling completely exhausted and overwhelmed.
It’s been over a month since Yesterday’s Numbers storefront closed, but in a lot of ways it feels like much longer. In a lot of ways, it feels like a dream far off in the distance that I never got to fully realize. Part of that is seemingly true. This didn’t turn out how I wanted it to. I felt like I was fighting so hard—despite a number of challenges set against me—to create this little shop and keep it going and that it didn’t get the chance it truly deserved.
I’ve been feeling a bit sad and a little lost many days, very anxious every day, and really trying to cling onto hope that something better will be coming one day.
I’ve thrown myself into other ideas and projects that I’ve been pursuing on and off over many years, as well as trying new creative endeavors, and trying to settle my mind and my body a bit. It’s been incredibly hard to say the least. I find myself tearing up just writing these words.
I feel like it can never be said enough that many of us are dealing with things that might easily go hidden but can be extraordinarily hard and affect us in significant ways. I appreciate those of you who have reached out to me immensely, and I want to respond when the panic passes so I can give a more thoughtful attempt at conversation.
I have plans to continue Yesterday’s Numbers, and I know I “need” to for my own well-being and livelihood soon. If there’s anything you’d like that I could help with, still feel free to drop me a line, and I will respond to messages when I’m in a more settled state. Thank you for all the support ❤️
