It’s easy for me to incorporate my personal style into my apartment, my outward appearance, or my personality, but sometimes I struggle to put that into my art. The materials I choose to use aren’t “unique” or uncommon. Rather, they are the exact opposite of that. Cotton, wood, metal, wool-- these are all common resources to us. But it’s up to me to take these things and put them together in a way that is inspiring and original not only to others, but to myself. Sometimes it can be really easy to copy others work or just make something average, or even want to go to crazy just to make it unique. I wanted to post this so that whoever you are, who are truly following this page for my macrame, can see the vulnerable side of my thought process and the reason why I’ve been a little MIA the past several months. However at the end of the day, I just aspire to stay true to what I love and share it with you all. Just trying to sort through what I’m really trying to accomplish ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
