Welcome to the Beanie club! Our brand new way of releasing Beanies this fall so you don’t have to wait 4-6 weeks for your preorders ❤️‍🔥🙏🏼

Starting September 1st we will be switching over to this new model, and releasing small batches of ready to ship Beanies ( every two weeks ). This way I can knit at a reasonable pace AND get you a Beanie soooo much faster. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of in person markets in between - so every week there will be an opportunity to get yourself a handknit Beanie.

Help me decide on a custom exclusive yarn color for blaksands this fall! This is something I’ve been really wanting to do - and I need your input help to decide. Once we collectively land on the best color idea(s) I’ll open up the Beanie for preorder. I’ll need to reach a certain number of preorders in order to make this happen as it’s a large investment , but something I REALLY want to make happen.

Let me know which colors speak to you - or maybe something else I didn’t share? What’s a color you’re dying to see the Beanje in, or knit up a new project with? I’d love to know!

are we feeling stripes this year? went on a sidequest during the world cup match tonight, by digging through my massive pile of scrap yarn. i’ve been wanting to make something like this for years, just hadn’t really sat down and worked on one.

I love how it turned out - thinking of making a small collection to release together soon, all one of a kind, all with scrap yarn.

this is your official style guide on how to style and wear our bestselling Beanie!

the Beanie is chunky and oversized, made to fit everyone ( even people like me with XL heads ) 😅 - it will mold and stretch to fit you , no matter how you like to style it.

I start by looking for the little “pucker” and center that over my forehead. I give the brim a good fold and wear it covering my forehead, but above the ears - giving that cool tall oversized look. If you want to pull it down so it fits closer to your head and covers your ears - you’re welcome to do so. I personally prefer the tall oversized look!

For the rest of summer you can now find a link to our bestselling Beanie under “Ready to Ship” and “Made to Order”. As I work on making inventory for fall I’ll update the Ready to Ship options with what I have on hand. That way if you need your Beanie asap for a summer camping trip, morning hikes, sunset boat cruises or late nights around a campfire you can know your Beanie will be on the way in 1-2 days.

If you need a color that’s not on hand, use rthe “Made to Order” link to preorder. This link will be up through the end of August and then in September we will switch to a brand new ordering method for our busy season, to ensure you get your Beanie fast and without a 6-week lead time.

The power of putting in the reps!! Even if you feel cringe or uncomfortable, the only thing that’s truly cringe is not starting.

Be okay with showing up, with not being perfect, with doing the work. For every “polished” piece of content was a person just starting out on day one.

Remember that girl back in 2025? I don’t know her 💁🏼‍♀️ THIS YEAR I WILL MAKE AND SELL 500 BEANIES heck yessss I will!

Hah, well I’m very excited and after learning soooo much about my business last year ( like I actually know the numbers MUCH better ) and in order to make the math MATH , I already hearing up to run full speed into fall, which means we’re doing our warm up this summer. 🌞🧶

I’m looking at three main pillars to help me grow my business;

1 increasing digitally pattern downloads
2 open wholesale for my knitting booklets
3 create a much better way for you to order so you’re not waiting 6 weeks while I’m backlogged. mmhmm
