I mentioned the other day I was working on more crafts that I wanted to do vs the same ones I’ve been forcing myself to finish and it’s been doing wonders for my motivation.

I started this cat hat design with some ACOTAR yarn from Red Door’s collection a few years back. This one is crocheted, and I have a few adjustments to make, and the final yarn will be different, but it’s a set with fingerless gloves, and there is a knit version of the set too 👀

The second project is my cross stitch. This one was put on hold for a minute, but I need to buy a light to backlight the fabric because I can’t see the holes anymore and I keep screwing up the stitches. And I also completely fu**ed the whole right side up, but here we are.

Third is my crochet cardigan cover-up design I am SO excited to get back to work on. This is made with Dishie yarn from Knit Picks and will be an oversized delight for summertime.

Next is the Curtsey Collar (Ravelry, not my pattern) I am knitting for a friend. I have about 7 rows left still, but if you’ve ever knit with a single strand of mohair you know it’s not the fastest work 😂

My knit neon skater skirt design is also coming along and I am SO EXCITED to get this one done. It’s hard to work on when it’s dark outside, but the days are getting longer so I can knit for longer

I’ve been “slacking” on my TBR recently and I think I figured it out why. It’s because I’ve been doing other s**t lol ✌🏻...

I’ve been “slacking” on my TBR recently and I think I figured it out why.

It’s because I’ve been doing other s**t lol ✌🏻😝

I was feeling super burnt out and I was just tired of the same routine. I was crocheting or knitting or reading and that was it. I wasn’t even reading what I wanted to read, I was reading what past Sam signed us up for and now that its 8 months past, we just aren’t that into the book. Not that it’s bad, but because I don’t know if I can handle another dystopian romance while the IRL world is on fire, which really sucks because I have like 27 dystopian romantasys on my actual bookshelf right now I want to dive into, but my brain just can’t separate real from fake when it all feels fake… and real???

Anyway, this April has been filled with crafting of all kinds, reading books that give me happy and safe feelings, and covering everything I can in rhinestones. Whoever introduced me to diamond painting has some answering to do… Like where do I buy the gems at the best price? Is amazon my only option?
