Hi! I’m Jodi (Jo) Roberts,founder of Properly Kate Jewelry.

I have a lifelong love for jewelry. Inspired by childhood visits to her family’s Manhattan Diamond District shop. After studying metal smithing in college and launched my first handmade jewelry business in 1995. I named this line for my daughter Kate, who embodies classic beauty and light. A New Jersey transplant, I’ve been a Marylander for 20+ years now. When I’m not with my husband, two adult children and three rescue pups, I like to walk, read, volunteer, goof around on the tennis court and hang out with friends.
