For those just getting started in their New Year New You fitness journey, B***y bands are perfect for you! On a basic level, they add extra resistance to classic bodyweight moves—a little more burn to every movement.
👉🏼What are they good for?
Bands help to target and strengthen the glute medius muscle, is very important for runners & people who perform other repetitive activities. By adding resistance to certain exercises, will helps develop strength and endurance & confidence in the gym. This makes them a great all-purpose fitness accessory for anyone looking to make their workouts a little more challenging!
👉🏼Bands are also key to keeping your knees in alignment during physical activity and can help activate muscles before getting into intense exercise. Anyone who sits a lot, or has a sedentary job, is likely in need of the gluteus medius TLC, that the bands deliver.
👉🏼 How to Use-
Bands can be used above knee or below around calve or ankle, depending on exercise.
Example- Try a basic bodyweight squat- in front of a full-length mirror. If you notice your knees pulling toward each other, that’s a good indicator you’d benefit from medius-targeted movements. Placing the band above your knees will help you stay in position when performing your squat.
👉🏼Remember, B***y bands won’t give you a BBL or help you make “GAINS”, you’ll have to incorporate some weight lifting to building those Buns!
