Are you familiar with 3-D printing? It is just like magic to me. Make a 3-D graphic in your computer and it is actually printed as a 3-D object! My brain is over-flowing with ideas. I discovered www.Shapeways.com and they will print your own design for you. Watch the tutorials, they are interesting.

I offer assistance at a fabric store. Lately several customers Have purchased fabric to make their "Day" dresses longer. Fascinating.

Career Day was very enjoyable. It was held at a small school for grades 6-8. Mine was one of many workshops that the students rotated through. Funny question: one boy asked if I had ever met any famous designers. I said, "Who do you mean? Someone like Michael Kors?" His face went blank, "Who's that?" he asked.

It just seemed funny that he wasn't aware of a designer who has so much media exposure, including "Project Runway"; so why did the boy even ask the question...?

Preparing for my part at "Career Day" at Hood Canal School on Friday. I'll be presenting 3 times. Hmmm, I'm thinking I'll draft a muslin design on an audience volunteer. Maybe.
