The unusual fashion journey began in 1955, when Basheer Ahmed, skilled craftsman, decided to start their
business in a small workshop near the Church of Murree Mall Road. Before that JK it was started from Nazar & Sons company making handmade shoes that were also of excellent fit and quality. A few years later, Basheer brothers decided to hire new workers and managed to expand their workspace in the family home. In the seventies of the last century, due to the increased demand on the market, the Basheer brothers decided to build a new business facility of a larger area and introduced new ways of making footwear. In the 1980s, the next generation of Basheer’s family, Jameel Akhtar, the son of Basheer, expanded the family business by turning the entire family home into a factory. He started with JJ & Sons has become a well-established and reliable manufacturing company in the luxury goods market. They also achieved great success in the late eighties when the family company began exhibiting at specialized fairs and thus entered new international markets. It was a big step for a family company that believed in its exceptional quality and dedicated work of its skilled craftsmen. JK is currently a family business run by a third generation that has managed to advance and improve a company that has more than 70 years of experience and tradition in the field of luxury footwear production. The son of Jameel Akhtar, Usama Jameel, expanded the family business by turning into the online he launched a temporary exhibition across the world. The JK showroom is in Wah Cantt and its open all year round for all fans of this brand. In this showroom you can see new seasonal collections and of course some of the timeless pieces from past collections that marked the work of this famous shoe brand. This family brand introduced certain innovations in business during 2016, and these are the possibility of online shopping in their official e-shop and an unusual new collaboration with US market.
