🌟 June 2026 Athletes of the Month! 🌟

We're excited to spotlight two outstanding athletes from Special Olympics South Dakota — Jessica Walker and Chris Hilla! 👏

🏀 Jessica, representing the Special Olympics Sioux Falls Fireworks, has been competing for 10 years. She enjoys basketball, bocce, soccer, softball, and track, and loves the opportunity to meet new people, compete, and spend time with friends. Jessica says Special Olympics gives her a sense of pride and accomplishment. 💙

🏐 Chris, also from the Special Olympics Sioux Falls Fireworks, has been involved for an incredible 34 years. In addition to competing in a variety of sports, Chris proudly represents fellow athletes through his involvement on the Athlete Leadership Council. He loves the friendships, fun, and opportunities that Special Olympics provides. 🙌

We’re excited to spotlight two incredible athletes from Special Olympics South Dakota — Jennifer Rice and Russell Reynolds! 👏

🎉 Jennifer, representing the Brookings All Stars, has been part of Special Olympics for 27 years and competes in bocce, bowling, softball, swimming, and track. She brings joy everywhere she goes and says some of her favorite moments are traveling, dancing, and spending time with friends. 💙

🏅 Russell, from the Rapid City Storm - Special Olympics, has been involved for 32 years and competes in basketball, bocce, bowling, softball, and track. He loves the camaraderie of his team and believes Special Olympics is all about playing hard, laughing hard, and learning something new every day. 🙌
