I’m Mira, a mom with a deep love for the timeless beauty of smocked clothing. But when I became a boy mom, I quickly realized something was missing. While girls had endless beautifully detailed options, boys were often left with very little—limited styles, limited creativity, and pieces that felt like an afterthought. I knew I wanted to change that.
Buck & Co. Smocks was born from tradition, childhood nostalgia, and most importantly, my son. My journey to motherhood was anything but easy. I endured a traumatic pregnancy due to hyperemesis gravidarum, fighting sickness and uncertainty every single day. There were moments I didn’t know how I’d make it through—but I held onto the hope of meeting my little boy. When he finally arrived, he was everything I had prayed for. A true blessing. My miracle. My greatest joy.
Motherhood changed everything for me. It taught me to slow down and savor the little moments—the giggles, messy hands, curious eyes, and everyday magic of childhood. It also opened my eyes to how little was available for boys when it came to timeless, high-quality clothing. I wanted my son to have pieces that were just as thoughtful, classic, and beautifully crafted as those made for girls.
Named after my sweet boy, lovingly nicknamed “Buck,” Buck & Co. Smocks is more than a brand—it’s a tribute to him, to the journey that brought us here, and to all the little boys who deserve to feel just as special. While we proudly offer classic styles for both boys and girls, my heart is in redefining boys’ smocking—bringing more variety, charm, and heirloom-quality designs to little gentlemen everywhere.
